There's nothing wrong with any of that, if it's what she enjoys, but it doesn't really sit with the introvert diagnosis. A while ago a poster suggested Sam's lack of social skills was due to her good looks usually getting her what she wants, so she's never had to develop much of a personality - I'd think that might be nearer the mark.”

I don't think Sam has a strong personality either. I did not put myself over very well, what I was trying to say is introverts are not always as mousey as is percieved. I will have to agree to disagree, as I see it, Sam may well be all the things she says about herself in a small or familiar group, but certainly has not lived upto that within a group of strangers, instead saying little & other than wearing not much not being very sexual other than a couple of minor conversations. While group activities where one works together do seem difficult for her.

“I am going by Sam's diary room performance "it's got my lipgloss in it!!!" - she was showing a massively insecure personal reaction to being deprived of her "props", that she thinks make her attractive, that was utterly apart from the group dynamic.

The HMs noticed her dependence on makeup which was why they chose to hide it in the first place.”

Sam has an image of herself as a sexual, confident, independent woman - which she isn't. In reality she's an insecure girl. If she wants to project the 'confidant slut' persona is she going to go crying about being bullied in the diary room? Of course not.

The other HM new her "props" were her security blanket - that's why they took them.

I've met plenty of girls like Sam, and f**king irritating they are too. I'll bet there are tens of guys sick and tired of putting up with her sh*t. However, I can't see what she did in the house to induce the bullying - other than make Lesley feel insecure.

Jeez! This is a nasty thread.

Sam had pills in her bag - she said so twice. Endemol cut it out to make her look bad.

What pills? Contraceptives? Anti-depressants? Methadone?

How do you put people in 'ignore'?

And is there supposed to be something embarrassing about any of these?

No, I'm genuinely interested.

Sorry I realised after leaping on my high horse that I'd probably mis-read you.

I agree that Sam may have some mild form of Autism/Aspergers Syndrome. Her behaviour is kinda erratic and hard to predict. She seems socially awkward/shy and yet she has no inhibitions about sex or her body. That singing was weird too.

Thank you, I couldn't remember the name of the disorder.

This is a really interesting post.
Sam makes a fascinating 'subject' but in truth i find her painful to watch, she is so out of place.
What on earth were the producers thinking putting a girl with obvious emotional problems in the house, surely the psychologists would have picked up on that.
It's like throwing a lamb into the lions den.
The producers couldn't be that cruel, could they?

Oh absolute bollocks.

For crying out loud. Mental health problems? FFS.
How about maybe she's just a VERY UNPLEASANT PERSON? And the HMs have recognised that fact and treated her accordingly. The bonding that takes place in the house must surely be dependent, to a large extent, on your understanding of the MEDIA GAME that you are ALL involved in. Seems to me that Sam has not recognised that basic fact at all. She seems to think that it is her very own show and that basic social nteraction with others is secondary to her own posing.

Either that or she just slipped through all those psychological nets and just giggled her way through all the countless warnings from Endemol, and just signed the contract anyway,,.,

I wouldn't be surprised if she takes a lot of coke on the out.

I'd say that was a certainty!

Would explain how she got through the interview process aswell.

She's merely quirky.

i bet she was like Spud from Trainspotting and the producers thought they'd struck gold with a real character

She mentioned several times that her main concern was that she took her contraceptive pill on schedule so as not to mess up her cycle. It was, perhaps, easier for her to place empahsis on the lip-gloss in the DR so as not to be compelled to discuss her hormones/periods...OR perhaps BB chose to make that emphasis for her on the 'Highlights'.

re: your initial query - i take my anti-depressants, lithium, anti-psychotics, stomach-pills AND contraceptive pill, together, at the same time every night; were any one of them missing from the cocktail, due to vindictive bullying, i'd be more than a tad upset...

I generally lip-balm last thing too

i think if Sam had never said anything about her "horniness",did that stupid speech in the diary room about her "horniness"and then streaked around the garden then she could have been a potential winner.

She does seem to be quite clever when she impersonates Derek in her nomination and asking Roberto to try her food in which he replies "too salty".......i think she was having a revenge on them.

yes she is definitely an "outsider" of the group and there is a "want" about her and i reckon she willalso be one of them going on Friday night.

At the moment Saskia looks a potential "winner" as she has "behaved" reasonably well in comparison to other female HM's

Cracking start this year though...some of it has been hilarious

sam has emotional problems?
have you considered the possibility that the rest have and she is out of sync because she is more average?

examples: kemal encouraging his headscarf. maxwell hiding behind the geezer mask. lesley the viz magazine character. i could go on but i won't

Uh, no. No mental health problems that I can see. Perhaps a bit insecure and unhappy at the situation but not mentally ill. You certainly would have no grounds to section her!

Also-methadone is a liquid-a sickly, syrupy bright green liquid. Not pills.

The girl is screwed up in some way, i'm not a psychologist but i don't think you have to be to see that.
Saskia, max and anthony could be described as 'average', yet they are still able to integrate in the group and are able to hold conversations without dissolving into faux hysterics.
