only 2 weeks in?? this years bigbrother is easily the best

This years show has eclipsed every other year by a long shot. There are so many focal points and we are only 2 weeks into it

- Antony & Max vying for saskia
- Team Britney VS Sam
- Derek the pantomime villain
- Kemal Vs Roberto
- Roberto in the kitchen
- Makosi's libido
- Scary Mary

Can any of the previous series boast this in such short time? This isnt including the debates the housemates have caused

-Lesley the northan chav?
-Kemal a shame to muslims?
-Science kind or gangster?
-makosi/zimbabwe
-Craig gay or not?

and to top it all off, bigbrother have started playing tricks on them from the FIRST DAY. excellent indeed.

It's not the best. I didn't think i could find it possible, but i think there's TOO much arguing. Roberto and Kemal's arguments aren't captivating, they're tiresome. Granted the Lesley/Sam thing has been made for good viewing (just look at how many threads on here are about one or the other or both), and Maxwell & Saskia to me are a more interesting couple than any other prospective pair, but it's not hit BB5 (or BB2) standard for me yet.

As much as I'm enjoying BB this year, i think it is too early to say it is 'the best yet', as far as we know it could burn out half way through when a few HMs start to go and the others settle in porperly. It has been the best START to any BB tho, and if i BB keeps it up for the next couple of months then it might just be able to claim the title.

one reason why it's nowhere near the best is that every day seems like groundhog day-the same issues, arguments etc. In a good BB the story should be continually changing but this is not happening this year

I'm finding it very hard to warm to ... unsubtle characters ... constant tiresome bickering ... HMs perpetually on edge & unable to relax ... as a consequence, one-dimensional, fake, knockabout, cartoonish behaviour ...

Good soap needs the chance to grow ... it has an organic element ... & BB6 has been too frenetic & too laboured to fit the bill ...

Get the foulest ones out [Team Britney en masse] ... it might improve ...

If this keeps up they’ll be killing and eating each other by the end.

With Roberto doing all the cooooking naturally.

As a connoisseur I would say it's the worst just behind BB4.

The ratings don't lie.

Don't agree at all. It's nearly all arguments and what tasks there have been were dull. Too much fiddling with the nomination process too. The choice of housemates leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm with you. The dynamics are really interesting.

I personally think this is the worst Big Brother yet. Awful selection of housemates, boring tasks, selective editing at it's worst, non stop petty arguing between characters I have not grown to like or care about at all.

I have to I tend to agree with you and am now fed up saying to the rest of the family give it time it will get better. I dont think it will unless they do a mass eviction tommorrow and get rid of at least 5 of these horrible housemates.

And maybe now many of us feel we've seen it all before? Is the format becoming dull?

I've not felt inclined to post much about this BB. In fact, the only threads I've posted much in recently have been about non-BB6 matters — the longest-serving FM and whether there should be a restriction on the number of threads an FM should be able to start.

I just feel that it isn't really worth wasting words or thoughts on this particularly unattractive, tiresome bunch of social misfits — the BB6 housemates.

I was thinking about this earlier today - I just have not felt the same compulsion to watch as I have with previous BB's. I think the mix of people is very skewed - even Lesley was saying that she wouldn't recommend going into the house to people her age.

They mainly seem so young and childish and raw - which is fine, but in moderation.

I am still watching BBLB (obviously), but found I have missed a couple of 10 o'clock shows without much heartache.

Sorry I think it's a pile of shit. The worst BB ever.

I don't enjoy watching nasty, scheming people whose moral compass is so far off, and whose self-awareness is so distorted, that they cannot see their own nastiness but constantly find it in others.

Craig was doing just that when I happened to tune in this afternoon, saying that there were some nice people in BB but also nasty ones who should never have been picked. Yes, Craig, and you're one of them.

Later, Lesley walked out as Craig's partner in a quiz game because, she said, "I don't like games I don't win". (The game wasn't over, but they were losing to Max and Saskia.)

These are not interesting people unless you're into amoral studies of psychological distortions.

BB5 had a much better mix of housemates, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Rubbish.
Its the 2nd to worst BB ever.

And at least BB4 had Jon, Anouska(for a bit) and Federico. This BB has nothing but seriously unpleasant substandard excuses for characters(except for, maybe, Saskia) and pointless squabbling.

Unless they shake it up with a mass eviction/new HM's viewers will start switching off in week 3 or 4.

I think it's absolutely fantastic that people feel obliged to say that this is the worst BB ever when the show hasn't even finished yet!

Hell, we all wrote off BB5 last year at this time and most FMs hold a positive view on it.

Can I offer my own suggestion as to why people don't feel as excited about it? Perhaps it's because we're now six series in and the "feel-good" factor has now drained out?

I still love it, it has to be said, and I couldn't imagine UK television without Big Brother.

Bingo! ... and "raw" is exactly the right word ... there's just no finesse or subtlety in the Hice this year ... the manoeuvring is so transparent, the politics so cheap, the interaction so crass ...

I'm left thinking that PJ, Spencer, Andy & Federico had depth & (a degree of) charm ... something must be seriously awry ...

Well it's not as if the housemates are all going to change. I detest all of them. I don't get any enjoyment of watching detestable people arguing and wingeing every night. I watch the TV to be entertained or informed. Not to be bored silly by argumentative numbskulls.

Too complicated, ambitious.

They may have just responded to Bb5 which was too obvious and scripted by throwing a whole set of people in who won't get on till week 11 and seeing what happens. Makosi emerges as the PC winner probably.

They overdid the opposites - find a very intelligent moslem HM who plots and wears a dress so offset him with his opposite extreme Maxwell - thick straight white sex obsessed bloke. Saskia v Mary - conventional BB HM v witch...Sam v Lesley, shallow southern beauty v northern breast with accent.

Most importantly where is the winner ? The polling suggests that they made a big mistake by putting the joke boring relatively normal chav HM in there as apart from Sam they look like not going. It would be more interesting if they had just added 2 more plotters and a couple more characters.
