Tautological Lesley

Did I really just hear Lesley make the Diary Room statement,

"In here, all you can say is words"?

Personally, even outside of the house, I never say anything else

Yes, I was astounded at what she said. I think it was - "In here the only way you can get people is with words" - which made me immediately think how does she get people when she's out here???

I think that I quoted her precisely. I wouldn't have laughed so much if she'd qualified her statement with 'get people' (although I suspect that's what she meant).

Another quote from Les:

"Outisde, lots of guys fall at my feet"

Really...have they been shot?

See this thread for more interpretations.

I got the impression from her use of the words "in here" that she'd use other methods of being nasty to someone outside the house (other than words).

She truly is vile! I've not seen a single redeeming feature of hers and I do at least attempt to find something decent about housemates I dislike, it gives a bit of balance and perspective. With Lesley, I can't seem to find anything at all.

Playing dead, probably, that's how you escape from bears in the woods, right?

The thing is, apart form the obvious problem with that statement, what she was really saying was "in here all you can do is talk about it" which leaves the underlying statement of "on the outside I would obviously smack her one".

I didn't dislike Jade (at her very worst) more than I dislike Lesley.

Do you think she was selected because she was so totally obnoxious?

Not underlying, when you combine it with the context of her earlier comment and why she was being warned,
it is a clear threat.

In here all I can do is talk about it, but once outside I'm GOING to smack her one".
