I thought all posts on imdb were to be taken with a pinch of salt?

What is that then?

God, I hope not! That'd certainly be going where everybody's gone before...

It's very easy to put false info on this site - Two minutes ago I was 99% of the way to putting 'Onion 3000' as guest-star in Parting Of The Ways (Just in the interests of discovering how easy it was!) when I pulled out - It seems very much a 'trust' thing, which is being abused.

Some silly people out there...

A robot with a whirling rug, repeating the same tired old catchphrase over and over again would be too much like the real thing for comfort.
If I'm not very much mistaken, "The Goodies" did an ep that somehow wound up in the future with a robot David Coleman or the like commentating on the cricket...I just remember: "We haven't seen a pigeon fly across Lords quite like that since..." "Eight point six seconds ago"

It does seem to be a very easy site to plant false info on... mind you the Laura Fraser post as
Spoiler
may not be too wide of the mark, she was of course in Casanova, and RTD does like to keep using people who've done the business before.
On the subject of RTD and his stories, I am a fan, not everything is going to be brilliant, but he does write great relationship dialogue when the time allows. Maybe the next series should be 45-50 mins long, but with more two parters. Any hoo, looking forward to it, but not sure what I'll fill my life with after 18th June.

Can I just mention how weird it was seeing Dixon of Dock Green introducing the first ever episode of Doctor Who and accusing him of theft?

Well if my thread last week (at half 10 on friday) was too early this one must be
Anyway can't complain, can't wait for tomorrow personally and I think it will be even better than we think (if that is possible!)

as I have said before, I really believe RTD will not let us down. The whole series up to now has been building to this point, I think a lot of apparantly uinrelated bits and pieces are going to come together and leave us all thinking WOW so THATS what that was..

And you all realise that at 7.45 pm tomorrow we will all be shouting obscenities at our TVs because we are going to be left on the daddy of all cliff hangers ( a bit like Riker saying "Fire" in the Best Of Both Worlds part 1, at least we only have to wait a week for the resolution and not till next season)

I am so looking forward to the episode tomorrow

I am looking forward to the next two episodes I must confess and am keeping an open mind though I have reservations about the whole reality show slant to it....will either be sheer genius and we will marvel at RTD's brilliance or we could be heading towards something on the par of the pantomine that was Delta and the Bannermen.

And I have just been given a last-minute gig for Saturday night, 7.30 till midnight, which buggers up the late-night repeat as well, so I won't be reading the thread till Sunday evening...

Thanks

Perhaps we should start yet another thread, where everyone links to the post(s) that contain their main theory about what they think will happen.

Then, whoever's closest come 7.45pm next week, is elevated to "Super Smart A*se Geek Status"

(In the event of a tie, it's whoever came up with the theory first )

All I'm saying honey, is should the emotions take you, you might really want to have a look at Den's big spoiler at the end of last week's thread (And you should take that as confirming or denying nothing!)

Just a thought, fellow DSers, but shall we have this as the pre-episode discussion thread then start a new one at 7.45pm tomorrow for post-episode stuff so those lovely casual posters who drop by but once a week aren't terrified and flee?

loving that idea, otherwise we are gonna be overrun before the ep even airs... just shows the popularity of the show!

If this thread is going to be pre air discussion shouldn't we start the next thread at 7.00 tomorow rather than 7.45?

I may be wrong but I don't believe that voice over of Dixon is genuine. The script is anachronistic, the voice isn't Jack Warner and the lip synch is off. Cleverly done though.
