![]() If we are definitely going to do this is it possible to change the title of this thread to 'Doctor Who 11th June - Pre Air Discussion' so that it doesn't confuse people tomorrow when the other one is started. |

Regular posters may remember that it was pointed out after the first episode that the credits list Christopher Ecclestone as "Doctor Who" rather than as "The Doctor" - did anyone theorise further at any point?

Woohoo I had a good idea
! I have said before that I'm just a casual poster but this week I'm going to be a "hardcore" poster! Everyone who posts here, paste my "signature" at the end of each post (you'll have to paste each time because they won't let us have proper sigs). I'm tired so it's not very good but you get the gist of what I'm trying to say, feel free to edit it if you want. Keep it on your clipboard. Who knows, 'they' might start listening....----------------- I support the campaign for the sci-fi forum! |

You crazee Dr Who peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am lovin' it and keep Saturdays free to make sure I am at home for the Doctor!
I honestly don't give a toss about spoilers, Bad Wolf theories etc etc, am just really enjoying a cracking series which kinda goes beyond the basic sci-fi tag and is, imo (and that's not an imho ) a really enjoyable entertaining programme, well acted, well scripted, well produced and well watchable!I think it's the best thing on TV at the moment. Big up to the BBC for bringing it back and doing it with so much style, wit and pure entertainment. Oh and I am obv totally in lurve with Chris as the Dr and Cap'n Jack....and am sure Billie Piper has a darn good acting career ahead of her! Right am off for a lie down.....this post was brought to you after a bout of channel hopping between Anne Droid, Celeb Shag and BB who cares.......... |

im with spotster on the above post... it gets lost in the mix sometimes that the reason we are all here is because of a fantastic 45 minutes of tv once a week which lets us excersise our imagination, our emotions, and our hopes and fears. to think that a tv show could do this is amazing, and that in itself is worthy of praise and credit to RTD and the entire team involved in the show's production. Personally i favour starting a campaign now to get the show as many BAFTAs as possible next year...

)If Doctor Who doesn't get at least one BAFTA next time around then there is no justice in the world ________________________________________ I support the campaign for the sci-fi forum! |

If non-traditional Who fans are tuning in and enjoying it, then RTD is doing a good job ![]() ---------------- I support the campaign for the sci-fi forum! |

Throughout the series, the Doctor has also been reckless - blowing things up and letting people die, just so he was OK. This is what the Slitheen planned to do - destroy the Earth so she could be with the rest of her family. However, she was stopped and was given the chance of redemption - another crack at life. Perhaps this is what will happen in the final two episodes - the Doctor will have a chance to get out of the mess he's in, but it will have grave consequences for a huge number of people. He decides not to take the opportunity, and is rewarded with another shot at this life: instead of regenerating into the 10th doctor, things go back (like the Slitheen into its egg) to the point where Paul McGann regenerates into David Tennant. And the Bad Wolf - well, that is the Doctor. He is destructive for his own personal gain, but is given the chance to redeem himself. (Usual speel - hope this makes sense; 3 in the morning etc. )If this turns out to be true, I will be seriously shocked ![]() And if this has been posted before, then sorry - the (4th June) thread's just too long to read!![/spoiler]
