I agree. The sooner these saddos get their own Sci-Fi forum, the better.

Sorry, I didn't realize! I wondered why there seemed to be so many threads... Pre-Air, Post-Air, Hanging in Mid-Air etc etc...

Who are the semi - regulars??? Are they like Rose's mum etc. ????

DR who is brilliant, this last episode especially was a TV treat and ran rings around anything else on TV at the moment. Exceptional viewing.

It does make the licence fee a lot more bearable!

I've seen a couple of the new Who and I've also had a couple or three.

Frankly, the whole damn Dr Who thang seems totally over-hyped to me and attracts the sort of anoraknessnishnessness element which makes chinless trainspotters with Tesco plastic bags containing a toliet roll, a bottle of orange squash and a copy of the People's Friend seem like lantern-jawed, sex-crazed rentastuds.

To be Frank (Rickeeee!!!), DS could do with a dedicated Dr Who forum. Then all the Dr Who groupies could post to their hearts are content and have no negative comment from those of us who think it is a load of old cobblers.

This thread seems much bigger on the inside than it did on the outside...

[quote=Author 007]I I'm sure its popularity will soon fade, the ratings are slowly dropping as it is. QUOTE]

Except of course that is not true, as the audience figures have remaied farily constant at over 7 million viewers. The only exception was when the schedule was changed for the Eurovision Song Contest (don't get me started!) and the BBC didn't tell anyone!

......but Christopher Eccleston is a superb choice, prob my 3rd fav Doctor now. And the show keeps its tongue in cheekness while being dragged screaming and kicking into 2005. It Rocks and 7 million viewers each week can't be wrong. Loved tonights episode. Fav story so far thou was The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances even thou prob a bit too much emotion written into the end of the second part. Episode 12 BAD WOLF tonight was groovy too - Season 27's story arc finally revealed.

BBC Exterminating the rest...............

(please let the regeneration and the new Doctor work....Im sure BBC Wales will do everything to make one of their flagship shows continue to work)

I don't like it either. I really wanted too, as it was a Saturday ritual as a child. This new series seems to me, to be more like a bad childrens version of what was once a good TV program.

I quite like what I've seen of it, I haven't really watched many episodes except the first one and the one in Cardiff. Its not on at a time when I'm watching which is a problem but I caught the Cardiff one after I came in from a night out at about 2am on BBC3 and that was good and no I hadn't been drinking that night so thats not the only reason I thought that episode was good.

Well personally I don't consider talking about a TV Programme in a TV Programmes forum to be spamming

But a seperate SciFi etc forum would be good.

I call endless threads about 1 programme in particular spamming.

Well I disagree when that one programme has a huge following and creates a large amount of interest that warrants many threads.

This so called idea of Doctor Who is aimed at children hows that work? As i see it the old episodes were really good and they wern't aimed at children to be honest. This new version of Dr.Who is shown at 7pm is that not the time childen go to bed? If it was a kids show then why would it be on saturday evening at 7pm on BBC 1? The fact is if it was aimed at kids and was designed to suit them i bet it would of not lasted this long because kids alone would of watched it. Its a family show i think and a brilliant one at that its one of my favourite shows ever.

well why haven't any threads been locked or merged?
The fact is dr who is a popular show and people want to dicuss it. Having a single dr who thread just wouldn't work. Yeah its a bummer for people who don't like DW, but its hardly as if we have taken anything away from the forum. Its also worth noting that the most contributors to the threads are long standing DS members, so its not like "tv programmes" has been overwhelmed by new members.
