Well, she didn't redesign the console room, that's for sure. Just look at all that clutter!

Lead Dalek: Worship him

All Dalek: Worship him

Beat - C/U Doctor turns

Pan towards direction he is looking

C/U Rose (hesitant to Jack): Who's the geezer?

C/U Doctor (shocked - looking ahead): You. Not you.

We see feet that grow out of metal. Pan up. Semi-human body seeps into metallic at edges. Pan stops just short of face

C/U Doctor: Me

Pan continues. First Doctor's face (Hartnell). Welded at edges into metal cabling and frame. Green electric phasing. Brief flash of Fourth Doctor (Baker T). Returns to First Doctor. Green electric phasing. Brief flash of Second Doctor (Troughton). Returns to First Doctor.

Rose: Doctor?

C/U Doctor: Me.

I think the chain goes something like this...

Second Hand "Rose"
was Sung by Barbra Streisand
who Co-starred with Ryan o'Neil in "What's up Doc"
who Starred with his daughter, Tatum in "Paper Moon"
and Wolves howl at the moon

So Rose is BadWolf.

Easy!

Who the hell cares whether a Dalek has a heat-resistant rubber!!? It's the fact that it'd just look aesthetically poo pretending to be a sleek starfighter!

I'd hear warning bells about the notion meself! But they don't exactly have a decent track record of spotting these "no, it's pants. it's cheesy, it's awful, let's not even go there, never in a month of Sundays, even if our lives depended on it" scenes.

Here's hoping we get the first Dalek Fighters... we know we want them...

And each fighter would have a little 'home' on the wing for a balding human head, lovingly referred to as (wait for it!)

Why do Dalek ships have an atmosphere? Seems to me that it's a lot of work providing a full atmosphere system which can go wrong, allow invaders aboard without suits and the atmosphere itself can cause other parts of the ship to go wrong

i suspect that its because daleks are still living creatures, and probably need to breath, although i have no confirmation of this.. plus it means they can sing that old russ abbot song:

"oh what an atmosphere
I love a dalek ship with a happy atmosphere"..........

sorry. its been a long day

How about:

"Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe" sung by 400,000 Daleks

Because if there was no atmosphere they wouldn't rust. No, wait, that's not right...

Um, speak for yourself

Actually sleek starfighters is the last thing I want to see from the Daleks. One of the reasons I love Dr Who is that it does things differently, and the idea that the Daleks use huge motherships to get to the target then simply spacewalk over and invade the station is an appealing (and IMHO very Dalek-like) idea.

No problem with sleek starfighters per se you understand - it just doesn't feel right for Daleks to me

New theory about the leader of the Daleks - "The Editor" in TLG, he knew everything that was happening, had the scan of Adam's head, which would include the Dalek details. (We don't know how much Adam knew). We didn't actually see Simon Pegg die did we?
He was also representing the consortium that installed the Jaffacake.

Starfighters - sleek or otherwise - don't come into it! They want to board the gamestion (or Tardis? or whatever) rather than just blow it into pieces. Or so I presume.
By the way, Yoonix, thoroughly enjoyed your take on the 'what happens next' theme.

Interesting comment from Russell T Davies on the official website today. Nothing revealed... but interesting nonetheless... more misinformation perhaps???

Well unless he introduces some random character like a big pink Lego Dalek (and I wouldn't put it past him)... odds are he's talking out of his gun-concealing butt. We've covered pretty much everything from it being Hitler, to a genetically engineered jelly baby and an army of strawberry bon-bons. Someone must've hit the nail on the head.

Hello, fellow contemplators.

Sorry to burst the debating bubble about the Dalek 'God' but according to a cast list on tvtome.com

Spoiler
Davros returns, played by Norman Lovett (Of Red Dwarf Fame) and Adam appears working as a Dalek agent

Case Closed!

[QUOTE=jimscrivener]Sorry, I think my hearing or sight must be going. What did you say?

Apologies to jim and any others baffled by my strange sounding post yesterday. Did not mean to be mysterious and have only just been able to go back on line.

What I meant to say was that part of my day to day work involves assessing claims where people report that they have experienced actual time anomalies - such as time slips or precognition.

I was arguing that I had considered using this evidence (such as it is) to compare the 'real' laws of temporal mechanics with what might happen in the story arc...but concluded thay this venture seems pointless.

The reason is that real time anomaly stories are modestly weird in comparison with the grand vistas of any science fiction arc, not to mention being obviously contentious as to their literal reality. Moreover that both DW in general and RTD in particular are not likely to be in the least bothered by the results emerging from the actual reality of time travel (if these words even go together without seeming crazy). They have a wonderful freedom that does not need to be restricted by what true life case histories might suggest.

But it might interest some of you theorising on this thread that what you are calling a time loop do get genuinely reported; although they are pretty rare. I have only ever come across two or three amidst hundreds of time anomaly cases over 30 years of research.

I doubt that I should go deeper than that, as it is off topic and do not want to distract you all from your interesting discussion. But in general what my limited experience of time loop stories suggests is that the result of an event seems to loop back on itself and somehow become the cause as if both are independent of one another within the dimension of time.

Think a bit like a snake biting its own tail.

This seems to defy the logic of common sense and physics and I am not attempting to tell you that these things really happen...only that they are sincerely reported every now and then by witnesses who believe what they are saying, for whatever that is worth.

"Judging from the reactions I've had, a lot of people seem to think the Bad Wolf has already been revealed. Oh, it's the TV station. Oh, it's half a million Daleks. I've even got one friend claiming it's the Face of Boe! I must get better friends."

Is that Den then? Or Alrightmate?
