A bit off topic, but this thread has had more views and posts than last week or the week before, and probably any other, yet it's only Tuesday. I said last week this will go to triple figures in pages and I will probably be right,=.

Meanwhile, and rather tantalisingly, the Radio Times site schedules for BBC1 for Saturday June 25 are still wide open -
5.25-6.05pm: tba
6.05-7.20pm: tba
9.00-10.30pm: tba
10.50pm-12.30am Film: tba

Sooooo - plenty of slots for DW-related programming, to fill the aching void.

OR... wouldn't it be a truly excellent twist if there's actually a 14th episode, and we suddenly find trailers at the end of TPOTW?

They have never claimed as far as I am aware that the Face of Boe is the Bad Wolf. Having taken part in many a discussion with both of them and adding my own theories to it I don't believe any of us have claimed that. We may have said that the Face of Boe might be involved in some way but that was it.

It's the same on Digiguide - and there's some holes in the BBC3 & 4 schedules BUT it's Glastonbury weekend, so it could be that The Doctor replaces Kylie as top of the bill

Been away for a day and the thread has grown another 20 pages...
Do you think RTD checks the digitalspy forums? He says nothing about adam does he?

I don't understand how various sites like TVTome et al know how the series ends. I appreciate that information is leaked, deliberately sometimes but it does appear that they have gone to great lengths to ensure that no-one knows. Preview tapes for the last episode were not made available as usual and there is a press screening tonight or tomorrow I believe so unless they have a time machine of their own and travelled to Saturday night to watch it, I am taking everything I hear over the next few days with a large pinch of salt. Speculation and theories are one thing but people posting things as fact which they are still unsure of only confuses people more.

Don't know if this has been suggested - no that's not true, I'm sure every possibility has been suggested.

What if it's Rose's dad?

I've no good reason for thinking this, but these factors brought it to mind...

RTD seems sure that nobody's guessed, which would suggest it's not an 'obvious' suspect
Rose was alive (a baby) before he died, so she would have seen him - "seen the big bad wolf"
Rose's connection to him might be drawing the Tardis and/or Doctor towards her subconsciously
Those words "it's me Rose, I'm the big bad wolf..." indicate that it's also someone who knows her
I know he died, but that whole incident was full of paradoxes and maybe a clue in itself
And remember his solar power plans. Maybe just a pipe dream, or maybe a clue that there's a lot more to him than meets/met the eye.
Be fair, how could it not be him!

After viewing countless theories, endless points of view, too many suspects to name and not much time left to speculate...I have come to the dramatic, obvious conclusion:

Bad Wolf is the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver.

He's overused it. It's rebelled. It's had enough of him relying on it to get him out of one situation after another. IT wants some glory, IT wants some recognition, some thanks for always being there when needed.

Awww give me a break, I ran out of people so I'm resorting to objects.

The RTD quote does suggest that it isn't Adam.

Much as the plot lines seem to lead there, I haven't ever been fully persuaded about it being Adam as it seemed that we were being given him as a lure.

The Bad Wolf website specifically points at him.

My guess is that it's none of the possibile answers they have suggested there.

Which leaves ...

... ah - yes ...

Don't blame me if RTD gets one of his mates to post distractions

So ... no-one has got it yet ... quick ... brainstorm ...

Um ... it must be ...

The Answerphone that overloaded with all the knowledge of the world, broke free of BT and set off to take over the universe ...

or ...

The Psychic paper (hasn't been in for a few episodes) that has grown huge and now provides the daleks with anything they want to see

or ...

This is in the Synopsis of "War of the Daleks", it appears the transmat beam has been used before by the Daleks.

Quote:
“Davros’ faction is eventually defeated, and he is placed in a matter dispersal unit. He managed to infiltrate one loyal Spider Dalek into the Dalek Prime’s forces before his defeat, but is unsure whether it is the one operating the matter dispersal unit; it is either transporting him to safety or killing him, disintegrating his body and scattering his atoms.”

I just hope that, whatever happens, we viewers get to see the regeneration even if Rose/anyone else doesn't. I'd feel a bit cheated if CE gets killed and then DT just appears out of nowhere. At this stage, I think it would be really important for all the new viewers to see the regeneration so they understand it, the same way all us older viewers did first time around.

Hi, I'm new to this posting stuff but have been a dr who fan since Jon Pertwee, absolutely love this new series and so do my kids (aged 7,5 & 2)they can repeat word for word the one with cassandra in. On to who the dalek leader is, while I still reckon it could be some kind of Adam/ Davros type scenario (newer viewers will just see it as adam turning into something while older viewers will know who davros is) I REALLY hope no one guesses and we get a real shock- wouldn't that be fab! (as long as it's not a total let down of course!) Maybe RTD is watching us all and picking whichever of the four endings he's filmed that none of us have written about!

Rather they saved the regeneration til Christmas, tbh. We've only got 40 minutes! Besides, once you've seen one you've seen 'em all!

Just watched the teasers and am I seeing things in Teaser #1 - smaller ships leaving the Dalek Mothership?

Case Closed!”

I don't know whether to laugh or cry . That was taken off the site about a week ago.
