Oh I'm fine, I am proper spoiled myself. I just thought there might be a few people who got a bit antsy about one of the posts on this thread from earlier.

So then, about these kilts....?

see, now e're all sitting around congratulating ourselves about the ending of this series. However, a note of caution, I'm in agreement with a couple of others who've said that there could be a number of alternative endings and misinformation. According to the Bad Wolf site RTD says no-one's got it yet and I'm inclined to agree with him. I still don't think we know who or what Bad Wolf is, we might find out on Saturday but my but is that the episode leaked so far might not actually be the one we get to see. Anybody agree or disagree?

i did post the same caution a little while ago... it seems when something has leaked from this series (ie ep1 or the details of last week) it has been because the bbc has wanted it to leak... personally i think having a bafta screening and publicising the fact is a little dubious..

like i said before, we are all supposed to be slaves to the media and believe whatever we are told... i do just wonder whether we are having smoke blown up our collective backsides (not too nice a thought!)

Pages 58-64 of this thread are very kilt orientated. Or come back later, the main offenders (including myself) post more at night - have to leave now - work beckons (see y'all later)

I think andyk481 (apologies if I'm getting this wrong, but I have a feeling there's something I don't want to see on the previous page near where the relevant post is, and I'm wary of going back to check this) suggested something similar, as it would fit in well with the idea of media manipulation and disinformation.

I am determinedly not highlighting anything in spoiler tags, and scrolling rapidly past anything that looks like any sort of clue, but now that Pandora's Box has been opened, little leaky bits of information are likely to appear, Willo-the-Whisp-like in all sorts of places - so maybe the truth is not yet out there, just to protect against this? Or maybe the episode shown at BAFTA is the real one, but with one crucial last scene omitted?

Given the success of this series, journalists are not going to refuse to publicise the next one if they've been fed dis- or misinformation, so it would be an allowable risk, perhaps, to show them a different version.

Who knows? RTD knows, and he's having a fabulous time right now - and oh boy, does he ever deserve it!

Well, you can add me in as a fan as well - but then I think you knew that anyway?

Spoiler
From reading Outpst Gallifrey, comments from people who saw the episode last night, it doesn't look like DT will be sporting a Scots accent or a kilt - RTD apparently said that DT was joking when he said that.

We'll see!

No ones posted this yet (i don't think!)...

Has some spoilers about Saturday's episode including:

Spoiler
Comfirmation that the regeneration sequence is this week. "They will also watch him regenerate into David Tennant, whose first words as the Time Lord will be: "Hello. New teeth. Now where were we?"

Of course by being responsible, she also holds the power to put it right - with a little bit of sacrifice from the Doctor to keep her alive first?
”

Spoiler
From what I've read, bad wolf is a series of messages Rose leaves for herself through time once she connects with the heart of the Tardis. The reason she leaves the words bad wolf is that it's up there in big letters on the Games Station when they land, so she knows she will recognise it eventually.

So it's not an enemy, or a person, or a thing - just a message.

Oh, and for anyone who wants a laugh about the explanation of bad wolf might be, I came across another rare post by our friend aka_lucifer.

Brilliant! Hang on a minute though - do you solemnly swear, on a stack of DW Production Bibles, that this isn't actually a hideous leak of what they showed last night at BAFTA? I am trying exceedingly hard to maintain my spoiler virginity here, you know
No mention of kilts, however, paisley or otherwise, I notice

I swear, neardark - you remain virgo intacta from a spoiler POV when reading this.

Oh, and if anyone knows of any DW production bibles going spare, I could find a warm and caring home for one.

I think the main 'culprit' for the kilt stuff is La'G - although I'm more than happy to contribute myself. Anyone got any good kilt jokes?

Lordy - I can't wait until Saturday. The anticipation... the excitement - and then I guess I'll be saying the same thing about the christmas special early next week.

You'd better calm down a bit, or someone will be making a dog-shaped hole in your head again

I'm about to go grocery shopping, so I've donned my blinkers ready for the magazine bit of Sainsburys in case any of the papers are feeling naughty...

on the subject of spoilers, I'm so glad I stopped reading last week's spoiler after just a few lines- those few lines were enough to 'spoil' it slightly for me, and I would have been very disappointed if I'd read the whole thing. Which is also why I'm going to abandon most of the internet until sunday, and avoid all newspapers, news programs, radio etc. I have too much awe and respect for this show to let all the hard work go to waste. I want to be blown away on saturday (and then die at the thought of waiting till Christmas for the next installment!)

Have fun.

If RTD, or any of his worker bees, is reading this, I think they might just heave a little sigh of justifiable pride, and wipe a faint trace of moistness from their eyes, at what we're all posting.

And Den - I know that you know what you know, but thanks so much for not letting me know what you know, as I know I would regret knowing that before I am meant to know it.

You're welcome hon.

I'm the same with lots of things - sometimes I really don't want to know. Other times I can't help myself... deep down I guess I'm still the naughty child who opened his christmas presents early (well, I was only 3 years old.)

Yes but on this occassion, I'm betting you might actually get what you want come Saturday night...
I know I said last night I'd hide for a few days, but thought I'd pop back to see if the boards were still functioning.
So... please don't tell me what happens, but, let me know one thing, and one thing alone... will it be worth the wait? Tell me it is. Please. Slightly concerned with the obssession with kilts though.

Hi everyone

I've been away for a few days and have just spent a very enjoyable hour or so reading all this thread and catching up (can never understand people who can't be bothered to read all of it, I love it )

I've also gone and looked at all the spoilers on OG so know exactly what happens I love spoilers and always actively seek them out, they don't spoil my enjoyment at all, I love knowing what's going to happen before I see it - though I can understand people not wanting to - each to their own.

Saturday's episode is going to be brilliant, though I prob won't be able to watch it till Sunday morning

All our speculations on here have been wonderful fun over the past few weeks and it's going to be a real shame when the series comes to an end on Saturday - what will we all find to talk about

Going back to someone's post ages ago about RTD reading this thread and inviting us all to a pre-series 2 screening - I think he definitely should (though all those people who say they don't like spoilers - would you really want to go ) I haven't offered him a drink yet, but a very good friend of mine has just bought a pub and as I have helped him set his payroll up I have a free tab there at the moment so RTD can have as many drinks on me as he likes

Anyway enough of my ramblings for now, I suppose I ought to do some work as all I seem to have done today so far is read here and OG

I really hope we WAS joking. I don't think the Doctor should wear outlandish costumes anymore. It may of been okay in the old series what with the frilly shirts and what have you, but todays Doctor, if he's going to relate to the kids of today, needs to wear clothes that reflect "today"; I think kilts or long scarfs will make people switch channels before you can say: "Billie Piper's hot as hell"
