Glad I've cleared that up...which sadly I was not saying to Phil in the dream...no we really were just shirtless leaning on the Bar in Comptons dicussing Daleks over a pint...I liked the new look war-weary goldie ones and he was telling me how the old style grey ones that rolled into doors were more his cup of tea...which as metaphorical chat-up lines go, was a tad hurtful I thought, but before I could take umbrage I woke up

Quite a promising start, though. The shirtlessness probably shows openness and approachability, feeling safe in one another's company. Either that or it was a sweltering hot night, Comptons packed to the gills, and you boys were just doing what boys do in public and girls aren't allowed to

And you covered mutual ground, and respectfully listened to one another's opinions (mainly because you woke up before you could challenge him to a duel to defend the honour of your preferred mechanoids) - although the fact that he preferred the mobility-challenged daleks may have awoken a fear in your own mind that he was planning to bring back K9, who definitely had a problem with different flooring surfaces.

Wow, I should do this for a living

Mark is still wondering why "brick his poil" causes amusement amongst Sassenachs.

Impressive analysis...and this chez longue is very comfortable...ah well, having contributed to another 100 posts not getting us any closer to solving the Bad Wolf meme and also managing to avoid any spoilers of said meme, I fear it's time to finish my work and snooze...perhaps PC is lurking in the ether ready to get the pint back he bought me...would be a telling sign that...

I get it now

"Brick his poil" - poil is a regional pronounciation of "pale"

Brick his pale......

Awww - and we were just getting into our stride. Kinda. Do hope PC is there for you. Wow, so he bought you the pint? Now that is a good sign

Sorry I keep vanishing btw - we have hungry wolf cubs (well, fox cubs actually) queueing up outside the kitchen window, and they're rather noisy, so I have to keep running down and feeding them.
And that really is the truth, it just may look a little odd.

Someone way back in the thread (or an older thread, I can't remember) said that they had read in an HTML thingy (I am not computer savvy!) that when the mysterious banner appeared for a couple of hours recently on the official site (regular posters will know what I'm referring to) there was a quote 'Don't you recognise me Rose? What do you think of my new teeth?' and people were speculating that this was the mysterious Bad Wolf speaking to Rose. Well, now we've had the official confirmation of the third series, and the official confirmation of someone's first words in The Parting Of The Ways, I think it's pretty clear WHO says this quote! (I can't remember how to do spoilers, so I'm being a bit vague here to be as spoiler free as possible!)

Hmmm, don't think you should mention the words "mine all mine" in front of RTD..

Well, there's no harm putting up the thread for the pre-air discussion, surely?

Go, Mark, go!
