i agree that the god of the daleks has to be a character featured in the series, otherwise new fans of the show would most likely feel betrayed; i still like the idea of the doctor being an imposter, one who has manipulated events to reach this end; every action he has taken through the series (i am especially thinking of the closing of the gateway in TUD and allowing the dalek to "kill itself" in dalek) might have been to ensure that the final attack is a success...
this fits in with john barrowman's description of his character as an "adversary", as well as explaining what i see as a lack of positive action on his part, and a tendency to leave other situations unresolved.. of course whether the doctor knows he is not the genuine article is another matter..
in this scenario as i have posted before, the "real doctor" IE DT returns in the final episode to fight alongside CJ and Rose against the imposter doctor and the daleks...
then again, maybe not?
