Ok, this is probably a longshot, but does anyone know the track used over this video: http://karl.mesnoc.com/angelofdarkness_playects.wmv

Or does anyone know any popular music forums I could ask on?

Yes, it's a bit pricey though at 50p per song (excl. text charge). They call it "Shazam" and you can use it by dialling 2580 into your phone.

Can I hijack this thread to ask if no-one knows a track which starts out with what sounds like monks chanting or something but sort of turns into a pop song (with a drum machine). I can't describe it any better than that!

This Tomb Raider track sounds like it might be by the Chemical Brothers to me.

Is it an oldish one?
Sounds like Enigma to me. They had several hits about 15 years ago.

You're right - it's Sadeness (Part 1) by Enigma, I have just found it on Napster!

It was music I was put on hold to the other day and it was driving me mad trying to recollect what it was I think I have the single "Return to Innocence" by Enigma on tape somewhere

Thanks!

My brother bought that song when it first came out. He used to play it all the time!

But would it work for this song? Iv never heard it before, and they usualy use unpopular stuff for E3 music overs, so i dont think the servis would know the song. But il try if i get desperate, as iv been looking for this track for a while. Anyone elce have any ideas who it might be by? Im going through Aphex Twin now.

Shazam is very good with obscure tracks, it even picks up a lot of classical works.

Nope it's all automated, they text you back the result almost straight away. They hang up automatically after 30 seconds or so, don't cut them off yourself

And they don't charge you if they can't identify it.

It has worked for me at average listening volume, not really loud - I just held my phone right next to the speaker.

No i have all the soundtracks for the game, looking at the video its obviously a video of another screen or a prejection, so im guessing its from E3, so whoever made the clip will have put there own audio on it. It says the artist is PLAY magazine, but i cant find there site.
