Sugarbabes

I like the Sugarbabes song but isn't it based on a Tubeway Army song ? Do the Sugarbabes contribute anything musical to the song ? I know they sing their own words which weren't on the original song but apart from that is there anything else they did ?

Half stolen also from Adina Howard's brilliant "Freak Like Me' original which unbelievably didn't even make the Top 40 despite being one of the coolest and sexiest songs of the last decade.
And then the weak as gripe water Sugababes go straight in at Number 1!!
Oh dear -the kids of today!!

I think its the kids of yesteryear you should be blaming for not even getting it into the top 40

as a bootleg it was cleverly titled "we dnt give a damn about are friends"

Actually it got to Number 33 in the charts.

Girls On Top recorded the bootleg version of Freak Like Me and Are Friends Electric called We Don't Give A Damn About Are Friends. Sugababes covered it.

To me it's another sampled record. I prefer the original Tubeway Army feat. Gary Numan's Are Friends Electric.
