Why didn't Sam vote for Derek?

If only she'd voted for the smug ****** she'd have been safe.
I don't know why she didn't vote for him as he was giving here a harder time than anyone, both to her face and behind her back. But then I fail to see why he wasn't first choice for everyone as it took me 30 seconds to decide he was a loathsome slimy devious pompous slug. Only Saskia seemed to finally realise this (before the clip was shown).

But then amongst this group of people arrogance, self-satisfaction and lack of humility are probably seen as virtues.

Sam had never really liked Derek, but was annoyed at the way Max has now gone cold on her.

I can only assume she did think he was joking with his outburst at her and thought he was being sarcastic when he said "do i look like a man of jokes"

Mekosi.

That´s my belief and I´m sticking to it.

Within one week Sam has went from being someone Mekosi didn´t like to "family". Mekosi is a shrewd one and it´s a numbers game with her and the time was right to pick up the loner Sam and Sam was probably more then happy to be picked up as her presence was wearing thin on her first chosen threesome.

I mean what else could it be as Derek has been monstrous with her and can´t hide his contempt yet she choses one of the very few in there who actually tried to get on with her. She went for who she saw as the leader of that threesome and is playing the "they ignore me" card.

I was very against Lesley´s treatment of her but at the same time I´m very skeptical of the girl we see in the house and the girl we see in the DR. I think she´s going for the victim the public will pity and keep in the house.

I didn't see any of the first week of the show so it's difficult for me to understand any antipathy towards her. Furthermore nothing I've heard about her from HMs or forums seems that bad.

I assumed Makosi nomming Sam last week was purely because she knew Sam had the same no. of noms as her in week 1. Giving her 1 more would increase Makosi's chance of missing the ballot. She wasn't to know that NO-ONE noms Makosi now.
