It's pointless moaning about Derek if you don't do something about it.

Derek has many repellent qualities. He isn't liked by many people, and i think he is probably well aware of this himself. We don't need to evict Derek on that basis, we need to keep him in for his incongruousness, his entertainment value, and the main reason - he is unabashed about his dislike of Saskia, and he is the only one with enough brains to make things interesting in that context.

Sorry but Sam is simply nothing more than a pretty face. The last straw for me was watching her have a conversation with Craig about aliens and Egyptian Gods - something i would of found interesting, but she just nodded and said "really" a number of times. She's boring and won't do anything interesting if she's kept in.

Derek will never win the show, but he might help make life a misery for the gang of three, especially in league with Roberto. I'm voting for entertainment this time, because Sam has done nothing to endear herself to me, and we'll evict Derek later.

Are you feeling, how shall I say, alright? -- Maybe previous BB's have got to you as you seem to be acting quite strangely today..

Well said! -- This is the type of thing that needs to be brought across.. It's accepted that Derek will never win, but he brings to the show the anti-hero behaviour that DS has always championed and needs to continue to do so. It would be so wrong if members of this forum took to the Maxwell route.. or God forbid, favoured Sam..

I dislike Derek on a lower scale than the rest of the hms, there's not one I really like as such.

He drives me mad, couldn't live with him, but is excellent value in the house.

He also irritates the major players in the house.

I feel the same about Science.

Any conversation is better for me than another conversation about Food.

There's plenty of bitches in the house, Derek doesn't have the monopoly on bitching.

His apparent "entertainment" is usually in the Diary Room where he has pre-rehearsed his routines, all neatly packaged to you courtesy of BB.

Oh yes God forbid people make a decision about who they like based on their own feelings rather than a concensus on a forum

I think you probably need to be around a bit longer than 100 posts to become familiar with what a forum cliche is before you comment on what you have obviously no understanding of.

Do you know what, Sam is trying her best to get on with Vanessa for Makosi's sake. While Vanessa's slagging her off behind her back, she's so two faced.

Derek won't go this week, I'm sure of it.

Hahaha you found Craig passing off the backstory of Stargate SG1 as a religion interesting?? I would have said really as well and I would have been sure to use a sarcastic tone..

Derek won't make life misery for Max and co, he has isolated himself and Roberto since being found out for nominations colusion and is now just grumpy, he won't confront Max and co as he feels he is above them and doesn't feel the need to lower himself to their level..

I really hope Derek does go as he's just turned into a grumpy old man since his plans have been rumbled, if he does go there is a chance Roberto may be able to bounce back although it is unlikely

It's with a heavy heart that i vote for Sam, and i admit it is in the balance as for the right thing to do here. My initial reaction was to get rid of Derek while we have the chance... but something is just telling me to keep Derek for a bit.

BB thrives on characters - one of the reasons i was gutted Mary went in the first week. Derek is certainly a character, and Sam quite simply isn't. She was only interesting in the last week or two because of the bullying from Lesley.

I'm just gonna go with my intuition on this.

But poor Sam only knows how to converse about sex & vibrators and "fit" men. Give me Stargate SG1 over that anyday.

As you already know Alrightmate, I totally agree with you

Great post - what's going to happen next? When Craig is finally up for eviction, everyone who has called him the most vile and repellent HM ever will be campaigning to save him for "entertainment value"? Or the Vanessa haters will suddenly decide to keep her in because they suddenly like to see her sleeping? Or what about Max, Ant and Saskia - we'll have to save them when they're up because who else will we have to watch past 1am?

At this rate, the final 4 will be Derek, Craig, Maxwell and Kemal

That's odd I've only heard her talk about any of those subjects in the DR and it's been over week since I've seen one of those DR moments. She has been chatting at length with Science, Makosi and Kemal for most of the last few days on various subjects, just because she is wary of Craig who bullied her in the past doesn't mean she is dull.

A little update on Derek's "entertainment" he is grumbling to Craig that he wants to go on friday no matter what and has been asking to go in the DR, wow now that's entertaining isn't it

A few complaints about Saskia from Sam are trivial compared to the bitching Derek has done.

Why are Sam's minor sins generating so much venom?

People ought to think about why they so dislike this girl when she's up for eviction against someone who is so much worse. You might get some valuable insight into yourself if you do.

I'm not prejudging what your reasons are here; I don't know. I've speculated in a couple of threads, but I still find it puzzling.

Get over it. It's a TV show.

Derek will survive despite Sam having a few fans and the main reason is that women are the biggest voters. Women all over the UK will be vying for Sam's blood and this will see the end of her. I would be shocked and surprised if Roberto or Derek get the boot as they are men and they are also entertaining.

This from the same person that championed Jade on BB and BTR. Are you saying Jade was a man?

Come on Alright, give the guy a break - look a bit further up and you'll see that they signed up in 2003. People can lurk on the forum, and people don't have to post all the time to hold a valid opinion.

For the record, I think Derek is rather an odious little man, but he's also unpredictable, unafraid to speak out and has the measure of Chas n Dave & their ilk. Just like Ahmed, he should stay a liitle bit longer just to mess with the kids' minds.
