Non-spoilery news from tonight's BAFTA screening of final episode and ensuing Russell T Davies Q&A session, if anyone cares:
Xmas episode will be called "The Christmas Invasion".
There will be another Xmas episode in 2006 (after series two).
Series Three has officially been commissioned (even Davies' boyfriend and agent didn't know until tonight!).
Billie Piper has signed on for the whole of series two but not, as yet, series three.
That is all.
PS Yay!

Dont think that piper info is correct she is only staying for 7 episodes last time i checked and even that took a pay rise.

Not really, as I have already seen that in the tabloids/gossip sites. £200k for the whole series.

I was also told about three other characters from series one that will be back in series two. One of the actors has already made it clear in interviews that they will be back, the other two haven't afaik.

Didn't think the Billie thing was much of a secret tho.

Series Three being commissioned is the biggie though - as I say RTD's boyfriend and agent were both in the audience and it was news to them!

YAY great news about Billie Piper staying on i wish Chris would of stayed as well i think hes a brilliant doctor . Good news though to know BBC have signed up for a 3rd season even though the 1st one isnt finished yet lol. Seems the sucess of season1 has made the BBC rethink the plan for Dr.Who, the thing im worried about is that the BBC will properbly end up putting alot more money into the show = More special effects and eventually people will start to go off it because it wont be anything like it is now. Its happen with alot of shows i rekon anyone else agree with this ?

As long as RTD is at the helm, I think DW is in safe hands.

Until anything is officially announced I am taking the Billie statement with a pinch of salt. Of course I would love to see her stay on but we all wanted Chris to as well and we all know how that turned out.

It has been officially announced - at this evening's press event.

but isn't also fantastic news that Graeme Harper will direct 4 episodes in the 2nd season. Check out BBC site for confirmation. He directed 2 of my favorites stories ever. Caves of Androzani and Revelation of the Daleks.

I doff my cap at you and say you were right so
I humbly apologise. It's just that we get so many people posting on here claiming they know something and then it turns out they were making it up all along.
