Here it is, the oft-talked about, on-topic, off-topic discussion thread. Please feel free to talk about anyting you like, as long as it has a vague (more vague the better) DW link.

La'G - want to talk about kilts? This is the place to be. neardark - fancy a few moonlit innuendo's? And if JBF fancies a few voddies with PC, well, tell us about it here! Onion - I want to hear about your asparagus adventures. This is a place where the DW 'family' can gather and discuss anything they like - anything at all. Enjoy!

I guess I should've waited and posted my Rod Hull/Colin Baker thing here, then. Or not at all - I'm slightly

I've got a felling I'll be posting in this thread more than the pre/post-airing threads

Is that a feeling, or is someone felling you, d_m?
Mark.

No, but I think they might if I post my "usual" posts in the normal thread, now that this one's here, if you know what I mean!!

EDIT: Ah, just noticed my typo

That's the whole point of this thread - to last beyond the series and not be taken too seriously. May it live long, and prosper!

Woohooo! I'll most definitely be here, with bells on! (Not the whisky type beverage, you understand, as mine's a pint of Earl Grey decaf tonight, and not morris dancing either - I live out in the country, and see quite enough of that sort of thing - just bells)

And I love being part of the DW 'family' - kind of cosy meets mafiosi

Wonderful idea Den, thanks so much for making a new little home for us all

Sounds like a good plan

As long as non-kilt loving people are welcome as well

Darling, the pleasure is all mine. I've been thinking about this for ages - we need a home 'away from home' on here, as it were. And now we have one, where we can post as much innuendo as we like (and we love it, don't we d_m? ).

Good to see you aboard neardark - you have the most special place in my heart!
Mark.

EVERYONE is welcome, Eileen - just put a (vague) DW reference in somewhere, to keep the thread legitimate. It's for our family, where DS would not give us a sci-fi/fantasy forum. Discuss what you like, when you like - and if you want to be lewd, even better

Ooh, don't mention faaaaahmleee, you'll be going all 'I'm a Watts' on us next

You know, I think I'm getting unnecessarily excited about tomorrow's ep - what if it's rubbish? Can anyone who's read the spoilers reassure me that it won't be? *

* obviously without spoiling things...

You can outflirt Captain Jack sometimes, young man!
Gosh, it's very warm in here all of a sudden, isn't it?

Sensible bit follows: I'm still doing sterling work dodging spoilers. Decided the Jonathan Ross show was a definite no-go area, just in case, avoided all news bulletins, newspapers and online news reports, and haven't read the Fear Forecast or watched the new Julie Gardner interview on the site. Did of course watch the teaser trailer, but a little tease is a good thing, definitely.

Also did lots of fairly sensible gardening, went to shops and marched straight past news racks, Vol 1 somehow found its way into my basket, to stave off withdrawal symptoms (I was going to hold out for the Tardis boxset, but I expect I'll get all the individual volumes first and then get that as well. Memo to self: get some work to pay for this).

Avoided all conversation with anyone in shops and street in case they said anything to alarm me. Phew! Also kept a wary ear out when gardening, in case any neighbours had radios on. Survived that so far. Was actually supposed to be working today, but that didn't happen for various reasons, so survived prattle of fellow humanoids and open newspapers lying around flirtatiously. Phew! Phew!

Will have to dive off and feed wildlife every so often tonight, but I don't entirely understand their language yet, and I don't think they use any news sources, so should be safe

I'm glad you're succeeding - I almost ruined it for myself today by reading the episode summary on a TV schedule Luckily I averted my eyes immediately. I still think a pair of blinkers would be fantastic for spoiler avoidance...
Mark.

Spoiler

Den - I know you read spoilers, so do you think we should have a conversation entirely in spoilers to see if neardark cracks? If he/she (help me out here!!) knows what we're on about, we know that they've read them!

Thanks! And glad you survived your near miss. Yup, blinkers, heavy duty ear plugs, isolation tank - but only 19 hours to go now! We could do with special spoiler-detection software, with a little clip of CEDW saying "Run for your life!" (downloadable from official site in fact, I have it for system errors on my computer ) every time we get near something we shouldn't know

Mark - is that a real spoiler, or a pretend spoiler, or did you finally find the innuendo in something we said last night? Some of us are getting very paranoid around here (well, beee and me, anyway), and your post may just go unread by us otherwise We can't be too careful - careless talk costs lives and stuff, you know?

A bit like a metal detector, or something? I don't know, the beeping would drive me mad. Or, rather, even madder

Oh, and I snuck a look at Mark's spoiler - it's just him being sneaky
Mark.

Up to you if you want to take the risk....

Mark - do you have sisters, and do you tease them remorselessly? Just a wild guess here, you understand
