K9 to return to Doctor Who
Today's Sun newspaper confirms that K9 is to to return to Doctor Who next series. John Leeson (the original 'voice' of K9) has been signed to return for the role.
RTD is also in talks with Elisabeth Sladen to reprise the role of Sarah Jane Smith. |

Ye gods! If the story is true (which may be doubtful given the source) lets hope it is just a cameo appearance and the focus is more on SJS.

I would like to point out that my earlier post was referring to the appearance of K9 and not the lovely Miss Sladen

The K9 return is supposedly confirmed, but RTD is still in talks with ES, apparently.
Frankly, I have nothing against either as they both had their place in the 'classic' programme, but to be honest, I get the feeling that the programme has moved on and these two should be left in the past - although it would be nice to see SJS again, maybe in one episode. |

Didn't SJS and K9 both leave the series together? Are they both time travellers?

I imagine the Doctor will arrive in a timeline where SJS and K9 are enjoying the quiet life. SJS will take a while, then say 'Here we go again!' while K9 sniffs the Doctor's leg. And I kept that clean.

Hopefully, K9 will have had a bit of an upgrade since the 70s.

I remember that - it wasn't too brilliant was it! SJS also got a re-appearance fee for the contribution to the 5 Doctors episode....

Best outtake ever (T Baker era DW) K9: 'I don't know, Doctor.' TB: 'No, you never f***ing know, do you K9?' Anyone else seen that clip? Hilarious! |
