I am a huge Captain Jack fan, I think he is great!

Does anyone know if John Barrowman has been commissioned to appear in the next series of Dr Who??

I hope so!

Hmm this sounds like a connection to his possible part in the time war - maybe

Apparently he will be back next series, but not in the first block of episodes.

Looks like he will, after surviving from the Daleks, by the help of Rose. .

Captain Jack's reincarnation had the feel of a re-filmed afterthought. If you notice, he was alone in every scene after he came back to life. It was so obviously filmed later. And hooray for that.

I hope he's back and he looked a bit peeved when the'd gone off in the TARDIS without him...so maybe he turns evil and takes over the decimated Earth and rules is as it's new Emporer, enslaving the surviving humans. The Doctor and Rose could come back and have to defeat him...it would be easy for the Doctor, but a real challenge for Rose...plus the Doctor could be used to infiltrate CJ's 'lair' as he wouldn't be recognised...

It certainly looked like that but I'm not so sure it was an afterthought. Possibly this will be mentioned on the DVD commentaries?

Anyway, after initially not taking to him, I thought he improved over his five episodes and I think it is good that he's back next series.

I suppose the real question is "how" will he be back? The way I see it, the main options are:

1 - Dr and Rose remember about him, and go back to pick him up
2 - he survives/escapes the Game Station, and when he encounters them he's basically OK with their "abandoning" him.
3 - like the above, but he's less than pleased. )
4 - they encounter him during his 2 year "black spot".

Ladies and Gents, place your bets!

It's gotta be one of 3 or 4. I doubt he'll be coming back as a good guy - at least not to start with.

What? That's just mental.

Why would it be easy for the Doctor, all three of them care for each other. Anyway, this? Will never happen.

Captain Jack makes me go weak at the knees, and I hated him at first sight. Gotta say, I loved the scenes of him with the Trinny and Susannah-droids in BW! Can't believe they didn't show his bum though! Damn BBC, the leather trousers helped compensate though.

I sincerely hope that he is back as he was a brilliant character, and "was like a more military version of the Doctor" as RTD said on DWC.

He's gay (which, as you say, doesn't really matter)
