"Hello Girls, long time no see!"

I am so glad Sharon has returned to where she belongs back in the Queen Vic. I hope the rumours are true and she's going to be a real hard nosed bitch this time round. I would love to see Sharon as the queen bitch of the square. She rocks. welcome back.

She's been back four times before, it starts to get old. I'm sure there will be another "Sharon's back" after Xmas when Letitia does Panto again

Let's hope she is better than in previous returns, where she seems to have either whinged constantly or floated around aimlessly, so lets hope the writers have her doing something different. Quite liked "tough Sharon" when she was fighting with Zoe over Dennis, but please no mo0re whinging and whining.

I agree. Possibly her finest moment was after sharongate and her confrontation with peggy in the vic when peggy had slapped her round the face. I think the line was something along the lines of "you so much wave another polished fingernail in my direction and your'll be picking your eyelashes out of that ice bucket". Loved it. Sharon's had a tough life, she needs to be harder. I forcast lots of confrontation with kat over the whole den, zoe, sharon triangle and with chrissie, over the queen vic. Come on girl give it some.

NO!

Sorry but the return of Sharon and Dennis marks the begining of the end as far as I'm concerned.

It seems EE has lost all faith in its writers to introduce new characters and original storylines which would move the show forward and win new fans.

Instead, they're wheeling out a list of used up, exhausted characters to pull back the old fans. As Den proved, it only works in the short term.

What exactly are they going to have her do? Pout, preen, look miserable again over Dennis, over Grant, over Phil, over Den? Have we not seen that over and over?

Sharon in particular gets to me. She just needs to go. Kill her off! Put the eyebrow out of its misery. Stop her ever coming back again.

No, No, No, Sharon is Queen of the square. and remember, she's adopted so she could have a whole new family arrive for her, half brothers and sisters could pop up out of no where. I think she should have a gay half brother pop up and she could become the nations favourite fag hag. Then he could make a play for dennis, oh the possibilities are endless.

How about waiting to see what the writers have got in store before we completely slate the pair of them? I'm no major Sharon fan but since her return coincides with Zoe's exit I'll probably be as happy to have her back as anyone.

I read that She agreed to come back because the writers were going to make her a harder character, which I think sharon works well as. I just hated the whinging Sharon from the last outting and the only highlight was her fight with Zoe. I think Sharon needs a nemisis and Chrissie is a good one, Sam was just too bland and Peggy's too old. And we now know that there is bad blood between them it should all kick off.

How long has she been in the soap? And in all that time they haven't got the character right - shes always been a whining, spoilt little madam whose entire facial exsperession rests in one eyebrow. Why should this time be any different?

Apparently, Letitia made it a condition of her return that they make her tough - if this is the case, I'm looking forward to it.

She has already had a whole new family arrive for her, Den, Dennis and Vicky. Den was a completely different character when he came back from the dead, Dennis was brand new and Vicky changed accent/personality every so often so was pretty new as well. I don't think we need Sharon to have anymore people popping out of the woodwork.

I still think bringing her back is a stupid idea. As I've said before and as MrWoman said in this post, she is back until Panto and then its off again. Then back again in a different form.

As for making her tough, how exactly can you make a character who leaves town every two minutes because of men tough? When she was fighting over Dennis she was pathetic, the whole slapping Zoe around and then pointing at her in the street episode was just bizare. She's constantly depending on men and when it goes wrong she heads for the hills/America. I'll give her time but I swear if she starts crying for extended episodes again I'll go to the set and personally shove her off a bridge in time for Panto.

I hate it when they have to grovel to these part time people to come back. Who the hell is she to 'make conditions'

when shannis returned on friday, it seemed to me that nobody else was in the same shot as them - if so, is it bcos there lines were filmed later? sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere - but the scene just seemed a bit odd.

I think that is more likely a story trying to save Ms Dean's ego. I imagine it was more the case of her realising she'll never get any other TV work and begging to let back.

Sharon and Dennis are great together and are great for Eastenders no matter what people on here seem to think.

I Love Letitia Dean who plays Sharon I think she is an amazing actress and really gives it her all in any scene given to her. I really like the sound of a Tough Bitch Character for Sharon as I feel she could potentially be a real Queen Bitch and in some ways have a Tanya Turner aspect to her!
Her and Dennis are great together! Please Eastenders LET THEM BE!

So in other words, they have to completly reinvent the character to in order to make her any good? Why not just have a new character? Or would that be risking them doing something fresh? After all 'Shannis' helped to kill the ratings last year.

Precisly, it works in the short term. That's what EE need at the moment a short term boost while they work out new storylines and new characters. It's their main weapon in the Soap War and for me, personally, it's working a treat!

But Den's time was short lived due to things like his Web Cam antics and slagging off the Cast not because he was an old character. Personally i feel Coronation Street has too many new characters and shouldve kept it with mainly old ones and some new ones instead of going over board. But its different views for different people
