![]() Not too sure about DT (or RTD) breaking the fourth wall though - might look too much like a cue for the Ice Capades to come whizzing on singing 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', but then again, anything is possible in the magical world of Who

Of course, William Hartnell's Doctor may have gotten away with that because we were a lot less cynical in those days. Until recently we all would indulge in the odd smaltz fest. The last time I felt Christmassy was when "Bernard and The Genie" was broadcast. These days we're all so savvy, that we forget the innocence of childhood, Christmas is the worst time of the year for us, but once upon a time we all believed. If RTD can give us even a taste of that, then I would be more than happy to marry him and have his babies, and I'm a 36 year old straight man.

Can't wait for this episode!! I'm just off to reset the countdown thingy I've got - let's say 25 December, 2005, 8pm, perhaps?
--------------------------------- Now, on a less serious note: "On the first day of Christmas, the Time Lords sent to me A TARDIS and a spare key" ![]() (Feel free to keep adding lines at the bottom of your posts!! )

Is it safe to assume that the xmas special won't be set right after season ones final then? and that we won't get to see Tennant taking his first steps as the Dr, nor Roses interaction on the Wtf is going on scale? as Tennant would be a good few months set in as the Doctor now...aww was hoping to see all that.

... and if they extend it through to Hogmanay, La Guardianista may well get her wish for DT in a kilt - which might cheer Jackie up as well, particularly after a couple of pints of Baileys and Babycham.
