I am a little embarrassed about asking this
But I always thought that when you are writing a text
the letter and page countdown at the top when it stays within the number one it counts as one text and is charged as one text
and when it goes to the number 2 it counts as two it counts as two text and so on

But I have just looked at my account on virgin and noticed that I'm charged 10p for each text Ive sent be it within the one two or three pages

So have I been thinking wrong ? I have only been using text for a few years

God how am I

I don't know about the other networks but Virgin charge for each text individually. So, if you send a long text made up of three pages, for example, then you'll notice three lots of 10p to the same number at the same time and date on your account/bill.

If you want to send long texts you should think about sending text only MMSs, vod forinstace charge 15p for 1000 characters.
