cant see how even £60 is bad value for money, but £45 what do you want them to do give it away free?

considering each disc will contain 3 episodes at 45mins each (four on one disc) thats over 135 mins per disc plus extras, longer than your average feature film, so even at £60 thats £15 a disc , pretty good value i say.

get a few more paper rounds ........i had to when i was young.

If you can hang on, following the hypothesised universal delta wave anti-spiral virginal rule of diminishing poundage it will be on sale for £24.99 within 7 months of release.

They had newspapers back then?

(Made myself laugh - doesn't happen often! Neardark beat me to the PC comment!)

Made me laugh too, so I shall forgive you!

I actually want to get the box-set right now. It's too tempting seeing it on Amazon and not being able to buy it!

And you fill me with uninhibited bursts of glee on a very regular basis

And I want the box-set now now now too! Have just returned from innocent shopping trip to buy vittals for wildlife at supermarket, and accidentally bought vol 2 at same time (cold turkey from DW is hell!), finding self suddenly surrounded by small children playing daleks. Had almost forgotten they watch it too! Put on good turn of speed to avoid death stares from their mothers, who are probably still explaining to them even now why they have to wait for the box-set.

Anyway, to stave off withdrawal pangs, and as many of us have some form of access to some/most/all episodes, how about starting a reappraisal by all watching Rose again on Saturday night, and having a thread about it?

I suggest you go here then-www.hooiefamily.com/drwho.html

Edit-just to let you know, I've ordered the box set but am watching these until it arrives so don't call me a thief.

The reply to that one will have to be carried over to the off topic thread if I am to do it any justice - but ditto!

I know what you mean about cold turkey - I'm looking forward to christmas already. But by boxing day easter will seem a long time away as well.

Strangely enough, I was going to post the same thing about re-watching the episodes on a weekly basis - great minds and all that... ok, mine's a little frazzled with all this heat, but you catch my drift.

Ah, but then we can start yet again at Rose, and go right through to a re-run of the Christmas special, and be all done in time for the new series, probably - plus much discussion on extra goodies in said box.

Your cats are very mildly camp, aren't they?

They'd be horrified to hear you say that, what with them both being rather butch ladies - but at least they know what box-set to buy me for christmas

See how deftly Den gets the thread back on-topic? Many of us could learn from this example.

I know, his dexterity knows no bounds. I myself have very much to learn at his knee. Box-set.
