imho the Sony KV-36HQ100 is the finest quality domestic picture on the market, it is a superb set. I have spent most of my life sitting in front of Sony Broadcast monitors as a VT Editor.
It is a very fine pitch small aperture, possibly the finest on the market. http://www.sony.co.uk/ShowProduct.do...uct=KV-36HQ100 Peter |

Mine's a Toshiba Picture Frame http://www.digitaldirectuk.com/produ...roduct_id=4886 and very nice it is too! You can't beat a CRT at the moment IMHO.

But it looks like you've had your fair share of problems with it! http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...d.php?t=231352 |

How many 36" CRTs with Freeview are there? It seems to be difficult to find them.

Not that many at all... Why don't you just buy a standalone freeview box... or better still a PVR? Choose a 36" TV that has 2 x RGB scarts. And maybe digital audio.
I would doubt that many manufacturers will be putting DVB in their 36" TVs whilst everyone is chasing flat plasma rubbish thingies. The Toshiba 36ZP48 in my earlier link does, in fact, have 2 RGB scarts - not the 1 mentioned in the ad. Last edited by Captain Cod : 24-06-2005 at 10:47. |

I've always liked Toshiba and am happy. Digital Direct got mine to London safely. A previous order from Empire Direct arrived with an imploded tube courtesy of their delivery company (I presume)! I don't know if John Lewis will price-match, but I had very good service from Digital Direct anyway. |
