Wooly wooftas is a term I recall from those very accurately PC programmes of the 70's like On the Buses and Love Thy Neighbour.
Just because I use terms you find offensive does not mean I have anything against gay people at all.

I find the camp gay comedians very funny.
If you look down the queue of convention goers at any Dr Who convention from the 80's and further back,its hard not to think they are all gay.

I was not saying they were gay,just that they put that type of impression across.
I haven't accused gay men of anything apart from having sex in a way that,if you think about the actual mechanics,is pretty nasty.

I'd say describing a sexual act in itself on a sci fi forum was odd...describing it in derogatory terms was unnecessary and probably against ds rules...can we stick to homophobia and Doctor Who or switch to an adult site?

Hunny, you have an awful lot to learn about sex which if you remember Doctor Who conventions in the 80s may well be far too late for you to benefit from now...also, you want free speech? Allow others the same freedoms. And you also have made the mistake of skipping over love, affection, trust, hope, togetherness, companionship and living life together in your mad dash for the bedroom antics of gay men...oh, and we have better wit, clothes, hair, clubs, bars, shops, sense and general attitude to life...otherwise? The Gay community has been wittering on for years about how "normal" they are,and emphasising that the ONLY difference between straight and gay is what happens in bed.
Love,affection etc exists with all sexualities.As this thread relates to homosexuals I don't see a problem describing the SINGLE thing that makes them different

I have a life and a very nice one thanks so telling me to get one won't wash with me. As a proud and practicising poof/shirt lifter/queer/homosexual/gay (delete as applicable) and any other name you wish to level at me I didn't see anything sexual or remotely erotic in the kiss that Capt Jack gave to The Doctor. It was a kiss from one man to another as a friend and an exchange that signified that both cared about each other. If you read anything more into that then that says a lot more about what is going on in your mind than anything else.

It's a thread about an American dude briefly kissing Doctor Who and how some people got up in arms about it - why do you need to describe what you perceive to be gay sex?

To get back on topic: I saw the kiss as a token of affection and respect. I think he just wanted to say: So long, nice knowing you - to both Rose and the Doctor - and that was how he expressed it. Possibly the Beeb and RTD wanted to get people talking etc but in the context of the story, it was, I agree, not erotic or anything like that, really.

I entered into the debate to see how quickly the gay defenders pounced-and boy was I right.
I knew immediately I posted that all the PC gay loving mob would be on my case.As you may recall I questioned the lack of freedom of speech,the freedom to air an opinion.
The simple fact that this thread has the word homophobia in it when all that is being discussed is a kiss sums up my original intent.

Hunny, since single sex kissing is no different to heterosexual kissing then where is the problem...your idea of freedom of speech appears to be stating the stereotype and then putting in ear plugs which is unfortunate because you argue quite eloquently when you're not misconstruing facts and coming across as a bigot.

The homophobia, if you'd bothered to read the first thread involves another site directing people to Christian sites that claim to correct homosexuality...now, as a dabbler...would you care for the address just to purge that urge that lurks there?

If you look at the posts the original poster was unhappy about, it wasn't "ANY criticism of this type of thing", but the general old tired claptrap about gay people, some of which was quite offensive, which had been posted in response to an innocuous kiss between two men on TV which wasn't even particularly gay in content - despite being between two men.

No-one here has said you can't air your opinion, they've just told why your opinion doesn't really hold water and questioned why you have brought all of these issues about homosexuality into what is, as I said, a thread about a dude kissing another dude and nothing more than that. I still don't know why you have done that - and saying that you were waiting for some imaginary "PC mob" to get on your case doesn't really wash either so I wouldn't bother with any of that.

I could equally say: funny how any thread about anything at all to do with anything even the slightest bit gay results in someone coming along to post how much gay sex (between men, usually) disgusts them, isn't it?
