No-one here has said you can't air your opinion, they've just told why your opinion doesn't really hold water and questioned why you have brought all of these issues about homosexuality into what is, as I said, a thread about a dude kissing another dude and nothing more than that. I still don't know why you have done that - and saying that you were waiting for some imaginary "PC mob" to get on your case doesn't really wash either so I wouldn't bother with any of that.

I could equally say: funny how any thread about anything at all to do with anything even the slightest bit gay results in someone coming along to post how much gay sex (between men, usually) disgusts them, isn't it?”

phelings dabbled, he didn't tell me, I guessed, it's in the past but I guess it still haunts him

To get back on topic: I saw the kiss as a token of affection and respect. I think he just wanted to say: So long, nice knowing you - to both Rose and the Doctor.”

A true mark of respect would have been a simple kiss on the cheek and a hug. The kiss on the mouth was just Russell T Davies trying to be needlessly provocative. Well it worked

No it was CJ demonstrating that in the year 5000, this kind thread won't exist because no one will care...by then, someone on this planet will have had kids with a tree

RTD may well have been trying to be provocative. But in the context of the story, a mark of respect is all this kiss was and that's the way I see it, seeing as I don't find kisses between adults of the opposite sex or GOSH even the same sex particularly outrageous.

Over 1100 posts within a single month is surprising, but with all but one related to Dr Who in some way I think we know who NEEDS a date

What can I say hunny, I have an awful lot to say and see no reason to waste time with pauses unless of course, the pauses are filled with something worth listening to but I'm touched you felt the need to research

Its fine having an awful lot to say,but it seems a bit extreme that you have both the time and the inclination to post over 1100 times on a single subject within one month.
Incredible.
I bet you are a long standing member of DWAS aswell(are they still going?)

Actually I only used the DWAS site for checking the audience figures for the show but yeah, they're still there. But while we're making unqualified and random assumptions I presume the long list of equipment you have is making up for a deficiency somewhere else?

My long list of equipment is a simple list of what goes into making a decent home cinema system, and also to clarify when giving advice about equipment that I can speak from experience of having actually used the gear in question.
No deficiencies elsewhere that I know of.

Then the night has not been entirely wasted, deficiencies can be a worry. So, anything further on CJ and the kiss or using Doctor Who websites to further the conversion of homosexuals by insane Christians or are we done?

Perhaps a new computer keyboard, I'm sure someone in the computer forum can suggest a good one that has a space bar that works properly?

Perhaps instead of watching 'wooly woofters' on TV in the 70s and 80s you should have watched 'Words and Pictures' instead... although perhaps the shocking homo-erotic image portrayed by the quivvering, errect pen flashing at you was too much?

John, your PM you just sent me sounded like a veiled threat.
How are my opinions going to land me in trouble personally?
Am I not allowed to have opinions?

Nothing veiled or threatening about it, your opinions are going to get you into trouble because the way you express them comes across as bullish, arrogant, ignorant and at times even a bit stupid...when people scan the thread later that's what they'll see, I thought you'd like to know but apparently you prefer the open approach so now you got it and don't throw the free speech crap back at me because free speech means just that not just a barricade for the plain idiotic...that make it clearer?

You must be confusing me with someone who cares about other peoples opinions of me.
Bullish and arrogant.Thanks for that.
I can't see why opinions are idiotic simply because they differ from yours.
Hitler had the same idea about different opinions

Hey, I'm a caring kind of guy, I can't help myself, what you think of yourself or others is for you and your own...I take it we're done on CJ's osculatory capacity then?

btw, check the number of posts on this one thread in the last hour and you'll realise how a 19 hour day at the PC can result in 1100+ posts in a month...when you're using a skill for one thing, it's very easy to divert it

Isn't 19 hours a day on the PC overdoing it a bit?

Not in my job, that's called a decent day's work...but to be fair it's a laptop and the attention isn't constant, so don't pity me too much

Having just read this thread, JFB has a point. phelings - you haven't come across well. If I'm honest JFB hasn't either, but at least he's backed his points up a bit. You just sound bigoted to me. You don't care what other people think - fine, but in that case don't moan when they have a pop back. Oh, I'm very straight btw. I just don't think what other people get up to in their private lives is any of my business. If someone (male or female) wants to indulge in a bit of botty fun then that's up to them.

Oh - and personally, I saw the CJ/Doctor and CJ/Rose kisses simply as someone saying goodbye to the people he loves (family, as a f'rinstance), why read more into it than that?
