Read the books and reviews about Dr. Who and you will find out he is of assexual character. Never in the years since it has started has any Dr. Who had a sexual relationship with either man or woman. He sees them as travelling companions and that is all. Thus he is assexual. Look it up online and you will find all about him and the fact that up until this new series he has been just the Doctor and has had no relationships sexually. Unless they plan to change that now he always will be.

The reason my parent have execpted it, is because they have now seen right into the REAL gay lifestyle. Which is quite frankly exctly the same as a straight one.

We stay at their house, sleep in the same bed, they don't bat an eyelid.

Yes, it was very hard for them at first, but my mum said to me she feels so bad now for all the years she had completely the wrong opinion.

To bring it down to one simple fact, before they didn't understand what being gay was. (Apart from the crap organised religion peddles and the media portrays), and they were scared of it.

Now, they see gay people for what they are, they realise it's all a big fuss about nothing.

Negative attitudes to gay people ARE NURTURE, not nature. Bigotry over many years caused by religions created by MAN.

It is fear of the unknown.

I should point out that when I was 'straight' I was vocally very anti gay. All of it being pent up frustration, and not wanting to accept that I was gay myself.

Now I am angry that I let society and religion instill into me I was wrong all those years, wasting a good 10 years of my self trying to have relationships with girls. Unfortunately hurting many of them in the process.

You have your right to express an opinion. But you must accept the consequences, people get upset, you are attacking their very being, not just hair colour or choice of TV show.

It was simply an expectation that any anti gay comments,no matter how explicitly spelt out that they were not to be taken literally,would end up in censorship and /or suspension.
The moderators appear to have little in the way of intelligence when it comes to reading their own forums.The single post with my offensive remarks was signposted with a smiley face to show to be not taken at face value,which was clear if read among other posts.
Obviously too much work for them.
The earlier comment that I made regarding choice was referring to the parents in question,not the son.I did repeat this but DS censors removed the comment as it had negative comments about moderators in it aswell.
They are not up to defending their censorship.

I have nothing against poofs whatsoever-live and let live,but what I don't like is the censorship of anti gay (or anti anything) comments being suppressed which is what you all want and what is happening here in a predictable fashion

Fact:if gay life was normal it would not take a man and a woman to create life.
Fact:if gay life was "natural" gay couples would not need to adopt to have children.
Factur race would die out if everyone was gay.
Surprisingly,I have nothing against gay people/life at all.But I do get annoyed when its referred to as natural or normal.I realise gays may take offense at that remark,but in the normal evolutionary world a race of gays would die out eventually.Thats not prejudice or homophobia,its scientific fact.
Possibly very tenuous,but my fave Big Brother housemates are actually Derek and Craig.They are certainly very interesting people who it would be great to spend an evening with,certainly much more than the "straight" guys Maxwell and the dreadful Science

back on track , I thought the kiss that Captain Jack gave to both Rose and The Doctor wasn't as outragous as some people have deemed it. In fact I have to agree with what was said by John Barrowman in the show after doctor who on bbc3 who said it was a tender kiss to indicate how much he cared for Rose and the Doctor. Perhaps seeing as this thread has gone off the topic of doctor who and into a debate on people's feelings on gay people, we should all just agree to disagree and end this topic.

I have many personas and I'm sure this name will be gone in a while.

Although I have not seen the kiss in question I think its safe to say that if the writer was not gay it would not have appeared and may even simply have been added to try and raise some controversy.

I'm very impressed by the great courtesy and good humour that's been displayed in this thread. But I'm with jonparadise - I have no tolerance for idiotic bigots, and I don't believe in giving them a platform. The forum has an excellent moderation policy, and noone should hesitate to use it.
