While that's true suestorm i think the Daleks are now so closely identified with Doctor Who that, sooner or later, there will be calls for their return.

It might be sooner, or it might be sometime after Doctor Who has "jumped the shark", but I'm pretty sure that they'll be back, such is the power of their media image.

This has not happed to Star Trek were that not use aliens of a past trek show so why with dr who.

star trek well and truly jumped the shark ages ago! If they introduced the daleks to Star trek it might enjoy a considerable revival.

I'd watch it! I wonder if the Nation estate has had many non-DW offers, TV wise...

I dunno, I'd like to think so but these things can get very complicated. it's rare to see cross show jumps, unless the shows are owned by the same company. But in a sci-fi universe it's very easy to explain, if you can resolve the legal issues.

Does anyone remember the comic adventure, "judgement in Gotham"? That was an occasion where characters from the same story did get together, namely Judge Dredd and Batman. And they were on opposite sides, too! Wonderful story, i'd love to see that made into a film but i don't suppose the lawyers would allow it.
