The tasks
Jason C

A few questions:

As the tasks will be shown live on C4 every Saturday night, am I right in thinking that the format of the tasks will be several days of practice with the final attempt concentrated into the show, as opposed to an ongoing task drawn out over hours or days, concluding during the show?

May the BB producers come up with a task similar to last year's 'keep a fire burning for a week' one, so that housemates are kept up all night for E4 viewers?

If the evictions remain on Friday, would that not disrupt the housemates for the task? A hypothetical example: last year the housemates had a task in which they had to break a world record. The one with the greatest chance was Dean, who duly built the world's biggest sugar cube tower. But consider if this new format had applied, and Dean was voted out the day before the task had to be completed. Would that not have disrupted the whole thing, and increased the housemates chances of failing it?

Well, many of the tasks last year were of the practice / test format (first aid, assault course, unicycling). I suspect there will be either (1) pratice during the week with a live test or (2) a main task during the week plus a live mini-task. I suspect that there will be prizes awarded rather than just messing around with the food budget.

Yeah they will change the system so if one person is evicted on the Friday it wont effect anybody elses chance of losing the task.

well they have just been given their first task - looks like a daily one, each contestant to paint one of the dining room chairs

Now they can have a live feed of paint drying

How about a food challenge. Boys vs Girls. Set up a mechanical bull in the backyard. Hold heats. If a lad stays on the longest the boys win and vice versa with the girls. Losers are only allowed to eat paste butties while the lads can have pick of the menu for the next 4 or so days till the weekend. Im sure losers will get sick of paste butties for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
