I got a msg from o2 this morning which said - "o2: your airtime contract terms have had a little revamp. Might not be more interesting, but our lawyers have made easier to understand. see changes at o2.co.uk"

Im on the o2 online pay as you go (300 free msgs a month and £10 minnimum top up) tarriff.

Any ideas what the actual changes are? because i cant find anything about this on the website

Yeah, I got that one on Monday. Thought it looked it a little strange myself, "our lawyers have made easier to understand" just doesnt make sence to me.

As for the changes - haven't a clue.

Cheers

Yeah it doesnt make sense to me either, and theyve made nothing clear on the website. Hopefully its not a massive change (like changes in msg allocation or price increase on calls)

I thought if you were on PAYG, then you don't have a contract???? So I would be very cautious about this!!!

the contract (in this case) is an agreement of terms of use and an agreement between the customer and the network.

they have obviously changed something and they have to give you 30 days notice IIRC

Doubt it will be anything like that, only says it is making it "easier to understand" and that the changes are "not interesting"

maybe it means that they have re-wrote/worded the T&C for the network, making it easier to understand,
(less big words that jo/jane blogs dosent understand)

i dont know how these phone companies get away with sending me emails etc saying we have made a change to your t/c go to the site, you go there and the t/c is like 10 pages long, your not going to notice the small change they have made! they should tell you in the email/text what the exact change is!

i just think as KrisReynolds says the changes are 'not interesting/important' so they didnt have to put it down to detail and send it to you by law.

then how many of us is really going to read the whole thing even they have send it to us? personally i have never read any t&cs on Credit cards, phone contracts, broadband contracts, car hire t&cs ... just couldnt be bothered :P

Just call O2 online direct on 0161-705-5386 rather than the premium rate number.
