I'm not sure how much of an indictment of myself it is that I sit watching this at 12.05am on a Saturday night.

That said, screening these videos back to back is a stroke of genius, purely as it gives us the chance to laugh at people who have cheapened themselves so much to impress the BB producers.

As I type, someone who looks very much like Soccer AM's 'Rocket' is currently in the middle of his spiel, after being gagged and wrapped in Christmas lights in his garage.

It's the cheapest programming ever, yet it's so addictive, damn i've got to be at work at 7:30am tomorrow.

Have to say, some of these are sooooooooooooo funny, and these are just the ones fit to mbe shown during the day.

I agree, this is very addictive. Very funny, and brilliant to see the lengths people will go to for a chance of fame. I watched it for about 1 1/2 hours last night and an hour this morning. Missed the 'How Not To Get On Big Brother' show though . Oh well, it's on C4 again soon.

After the hour this morning it did start repeating, as you say James they should show more, but I suppose the idea is to dip in and out of it. In a way I'm glad as no doubt I would have ended up watching it until it finishes for today at 2pm.

No, no, no, there was a much better woman about 20 minutes earlier who was just waving one toy in front of her face as she was talking. She would definately be a good candidate.

My second choice, of what I've seen so far, is the guy with the bacon sandwhich last night, who was sitting behind a drum set even though he doesn't play the drums.

This was totally addictive viewing. I've never seen so many naked people and willies in all my life in one night. (okay maybe last week but not since then).

I kept worrying about these people facing work colleagues on Monday - surely they must have known!!!!

I recorded it from about 0130 'til my E180 tape ran out and we were watching it on our breaks today. We were all having a good laugh at how sad and desperate everyone was. There was one fat woman who stripped off (clicking her fingers) and was actually rather sickening (if you're having your lunch at the time).

i had a look this morning and there were some really funny people on there and of course some really sad people. how they must be feeling that these tapes are being shown across Britain and Ireland. good viewing when there's nothing else to do

For how long is each set of tapes repeated. I was watching from 0200 - 0300 (and still managed to get up at 7 although I was falling asleep in my moring lecture). At 3am the tapes started again with the same ones from 2. I saw they were showing different ones this morning (obviouly can't show nudy ones) but for how long is the same lot repeated and new ones are shown?

One thing that's struck me about watching these audition tapes is how subjective the selection procedure must be, as everyone says basically the same things to try and sell themselves.

I can't honestly see how the tapes provide a decisive factor in proving that some entrants should go forward and some shouldn't.

I disagree -- I think that precisely helps the selection process. I've seen quite a few people saying exactly the same thing, or try the same tricks (hey, I'll run around naked and show I'm uninhibited). Then there are a few videos that are creative and unique and show off personality.

If only 1 out of every hundred -- 1% of 10,000 videos are like that, thats 100 to pick from.

First, I'd rule out the half of the videos where people mention they're "not sure what to say in front of the camera". That's the whole point of the thing! I'm most impressed by some of the ones who just set up the camera and do their thing -- that's the whole point, right? Be able to be natural even while being filmed?

Of course, I'm speaking from the point of having not applied--I couldn't enter (live in Ireland not in the UK).

It seems as if there are two one-hour programmes each day.. one during the night (2am - 5am), and the other during the day (5am - 4pm). The exception to this seemed to be the very first night last Saturday, where they showed several different late-night programmes back-to-back up to around 3am.

That was one of the worst TV programs I have ever seen. There were about 15 women waving around *****s, 20 people completely ignoring all the warnings given before Jackass and too many people just acting like pricks just to get on TV. Damn them.
