I would love to see an episode by "Beautiful Thing, and Gimme Gimme Gimme" writer Jonathan Harvey.
With the two previously mentioned shows he proved that he can be side splitting funny, and also incredibly perceptive and emotional, maybee not the normal Dr Who traits, but with this new version it could be a belter

I would also love to see thw writters of 24 do an hour and a half episode , filmed as "real time" now that would be something

They both wrote Shaun of the Dead. And yes Tarantino would be great. Although I'm not sure whether the Doctor telling Rose what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese is on the planet Skaro would work entirely.

And can I just say...great it was too. Loved the mirror bit!

Joe Michael Straczynski creator, producer and write (for most of the run) of Babylon 5. Also a switched on dude where comics are concerned. His love of all things British probably means he'd do it if asked .....

His cheesy dialogue would go well with the Doctor but if you ever wanted anyone to plot a story that runs across thousands of years he's your man every time.

Personally I would really love to see more episodes written by Mark Gatiss I really enjoyed "The Unquiet Dead" and would really love to see more of his Dr Who work on TV

I also think Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright... Imagine a mixture of Dr Who and Spaced, god that would be so trippy

JMS would be good - and maybe he could run the show when RTD decides to move on. Doubt the Beeb could afford him though - perhaps he would do it for the kudos... he often cites DW and B7 as inspiration.

Though she passed once, JK Rowling would still be a good choice.

Jeremy Dyson, the unseen League of Gentlemen writer, has written some cracking short stories.

Charlie Higson (Fast Show & New Randall & Hopkirk) could be a darkly comic tale teller too.

Anthony Horowitz knows his way around time-travel and showed it in "Crime Traveller" though he's more famous these days for 'Murder in Mind' and the 'Alex Rider' novels.

Plus I too would like to see Simon Pegg behind the camera on Who too.

RTD: Jeffrey, we've got a problem with your latest script - 'An Unearthly Childe' - It's word for word the same as the first Doctor Who story! And David Tennant's Doctor doesn't have a grand-daughter!

JA: I wrote that episode as well. And I put an 'E' on the end of 'child' so technically it's a new script.
