Please help : Dark Television
I have a JVC 28inch widescreen television, the settings are perfect and even with brightness etc fully up, the screen is ALWAYS very dark. This makes programs with even the slightest dark scenes un watchable, any ideas? or solutions?

Is it just when you watch NTL or is ordinary analogue reception poor as well?

It's possible deceased? Sounds like it's time to take it to a repairer for a (hopefully) free estimate.

Hi,
About 4 years ago, i brought a goodman's 28" tv that had exactley the same problem. The picture was constantly 'dark' as though the brightness had been put right down. I obviously rang to get it repaired and was told that it most likely a problem with one of the chips. They told me that it was far easier to replace then repair so i got sent a new one (from currys this was). The replacement was fine. Looks like you might have to do the same. Hope this helps. |
