Sorry if I waffle a bit - I'm really tired now.

I wasn't too sure about going after reading about last weeks evicition, but I enjoyed going to the Celeb BB earlier this year and my friend got us the tickets, so hey ...

It was packed out tonight (and very, very wet), but while we were waiting outside, we managed to blag a wristband, which takes you to the front of the queue and means you get to go into the studio for the interview with Davina.

But firstly, we stayed outside for the first show with everyone else. It was quite funny - you see lots of faces you recognise - crew, Davina's bodyguards and I spotted Derek's housekeeper and Roberto's family and friends. But I starting to get a sinking feeling that Roberto was not popular with this crowd. I seemed to be surrounded by a lot of Maxwell supporters and one girl told me how much she detested Roberto (I should point out, I wanted Roberto to stay in tonight).

Davina appeared (and yes, she really is far more tiny in the flesh) and asked the crowd who they wanted in or out tonight and I was really surprised at that point how much Roberto was booed. But I can honestly say, I didn't witness Davina encouraging booing at all. The warm up guy mentioned Sam's eviction and the water being thrown over her. He said whoever did it was arrested and charged by the police. To be fair, the security did seem good there tonight.

We watched the first show on a huge screen on the front of the house and the crowd start cheering or booing depending whose face is shown. Lots of cheering for Derek, lots of booing for Science. And yes, Maxwell does seem popular with the crowd ...

Once Davina announced Roberto was coming out (more boos), we were taken straight into the studio for the interview (thank God, it was pissing with rain!). It's so tiny and backs onto the 'control centre' you see on BBLB. I made a point of standing very close to Roberto's chair!

The 'warm-up' guy came on stage, announced banners were not allowed and to treat Roberto nicely when he came out. He explained that they hand-pick certain people out of the queue who they hope will be fine and not heckle. I'd say the majority of the studio audience were fine, but there was a couple of ***** that obviously got through the net.

There is a time difference with the second show, about 15 mins (Roberto came out about 9.45). I could see from the screens in the studio that he got some boos, but it was hard to tell how bad it was from in the studio.

When he arrived in the studio with Davina, he got cheers, no boos.

Now then, I only think it fair to the many female fans Roberto has here to share a quick description of Roberto in person. Yes, I admit I have grown to find him attractive in the house over the last couple of weeks. But in real life? Damn it - he's even better! I was surprised that he's really slender and his face seemed softer (ie. his nose didn't look as big! ) The consensus amongst the females in the audience (and my friends) did seem to be 'Blimey, I didn't realise he was that good looking!'

Anyhow - it was during Roberto's interview that I really starting to feel sad about it all. I listened to everything he said and was in total agreement with him (and I let him know!) That man had the HM's sussed. But I got the feeling some of the studio audience didn't really care what he had to say and I was really pissed off with Davina tonight too. I thought she performed poorly and didn't seem to pay much attention to what he was saying. I felt sorry for him when she showed who nominated him and he couldn't hear it. But he took everything in his stride and was so polite about everything. I think he spoke a lot of home truths about the show and Davina didn't really want to dwell on what he thought.

When he was speaking about the other HM's, Maxwell got lots of cheers but so did Derek. It seemed 50/50 with Saskia.

When the interview finished, Roberto signed some autographs - he did seem really happy to be out - then he was whisked off to do an interview.

We were then told to go back outside to see the new HM's going in. Davina was back on the stage and told the crowd outside (and this really pissed me off) that Roberto had told someone in the studio audience to '**** Off'. He didn't - he'd jokingly told one heckler to 'Shut Up'. I couldn't believe she'd said this.

Anyway, I can't even remember what the names of the new HM's are, but they got huge boos going in. There seemed to be a lot of 'WTF is going on??' type conversations in the crowd.

I think it was at this point, I finally realised I was finished with BB for this year. I'd just seen one of the best ever HM's come out of the house to boos, stood by and watched him give one of the best interviews ever - and it felt that no-one there really cared about what he had to say anyway. A worthy HM was out - the next bunch of young wannabes were sent in.

I really couldn't care less who wins the show now - I guess maybe Derek, but I'm not really bothered.

And I doubt very much I'd bother going to another evicition (not this series, anyway). It's hard to explain, but I really felt the 'bias' being there tonight. Booing and jeering is not encouraged, but certain little comments do seem to show a preference to certain HM's.

I saw Roberto again as he disappeared off to his press conference and was then glad to leave.

I'm glad I was there to see Roberto leave, but I feel sad about it all now. And I can't help feeling disappointed in BB.

I think the problem with interviews is that there are so many areas that people want Davina to cover, that she has to almost seem uninterested so that she can move to question to question, otherwise I'm sure, if she paid full attention and let him speak, he could have had a single question last the duration of the interview. She does her best to try and hurry people along, politely.

As for BB... Don't give up on it. Give the new housemates a few days, see what you think about them once you see them onscreen, see how the group dynamics change and such. Perhaps you'll feel better, I know myself that straight after your 'favourite' goes, you feel as though you have little inclination to watch, or feel for other housemates. But, just give it a few days and see how you feel.

Wow, what a very nice story and in fact I gained a little tear in my eye. It's like when you relise your childhood is over...

It made me really think about the audience and maybe it would be better if they wasn't an audience outside or in the studio, just a load of family and friends and a selction of truely dedicated fans who won't boo for the sake of it.

Combine this with the other "eviction experience" account, and it sounds like the crowd outside are encourage to boo, while the crowd inside is encouraged to be positive.

Re Davina performing poorly: she has a cold or something. She seemed very "off" on BBLB this afternoon. So that may be part of it.

But it seemed that it was Roberto who had to quiet the audience when they were making too much noise for him to speak; and Davina pointlessly interrupted him a couple of times as well.

You got to be in audience, but Roberto got booed - so *throws toy out of pram* you are through with Big Brother. Feet Stomped. Aww.

Perhaps Davina isn't 100% focused on the interview as she constantly has the programme gallery squealing in her ear. You try talking and listening intently, oh, and deal with an audience of ugly chavs heckling shite... whilst "live on channel 4".

It's not easy. I don't think she did too badly.

"Didn't get a fair interview", it's a gameshow, not question time! He got his 15 mins in the spotlight. Give it up..

Davina performing poorly? Simple - The 'introducing' the new housemates is new, the format tonight was new and untried - she was flying by the seat of her pants and she knew it. Thus her 'ad-libbing' at the start when she quite frankly didn't know what was happening...and through-out.

I'm willing to bet the endermol staff earned their money tonight as they were stretched..and it showed. If you want to blame anyone for the performance of the shows tonight, blame the live directors - obviously they wasn't in as tight control as they should be.

Rob was impressive in the interview (from my point of view watching on telly), and apart from one incident, I didn't notice Davina being dismissive, but they didn't really show her much while Rob spoke (or maybe I was too busy ogling Rob to notice her attitude ).

They've lost the best HM ... his communication with the studio audience was entertaining and his charisma shone through. His confidence and sense of self worth are totally appealing.

How is it possible for him to be even better looking in real life? Impressive.

Having seen the new HMs and knowing who remains of the old lot ... even with the "secret garden" twist, I no longer have a desire to watch either. The remaining characters are too unlikeable.

I look forward to Rob shining on BBLB and can only hope that they treat him fairly.

The format for the eviction and interview was the same as for every other eviction this year.

It was only the other parts that were new and untried.

I thought the interview was almost unwatchably tedious, but I'm not sure why. Roberto was ok, though somewhat too long-winded.

i think the problem is that 2 interesting housemates were notmated by the HMs themselves. if it had been Roberto against Vanessa or Craig then there should be no contest. Personally I would like Derek to stay but at the same I feel like Roberto deserves to be there more than any other housemates that just bores me to death. Let's not blame the voting public, they have to choose somehow

I thoroughly enjoyed his interview, I was gutted he was voted out, but was made up by the fantastic interview he gave. I thought Davina really liked him and it came across in the interview, I thought maybe she had too much going on in her ear. BB is finished for me, the REAL winner was Roberto....tho I know I'll be shouted down for saying that! In previous years Roberto would have been worshipped for cooking for everyone, but unfortunately he got put in there with a load of idiots I looked forward to BB every Summer, every year...and now it's over The new HM's are more of the same The irish girl would have hit it off with Roberto, ....I think Endemol shot themselves in the foot with the ridiculous editing this year, Poor Roberto didn't stand a chance "too nice" I spoke to my niece and nephews tonight before the eviction result who said Roberto was boring....then admitted they hadn't watched any of E4!! Says it all really "at the end of the day!" There must have been a lot of people said when they seen his best bits...."I've not seen that before!!" ahermm! As most of them didn't get shown CH4!! It's 5.30 and I've had too many beers, hope there's not too many spelling mistakes!!

If it's any consolation to the OP, I thought Roberto gave one of the best eviction interviews I've seen for some time. He was comfortable in front of the cameras, handled the hecklers well and chatted nicely about his experience in the house.

I'm making a point of watching BBLB next week because I know he'll be good on it.

I'm sure it is like that for most live shows, the same 15 minute difference you get on the live feed

Sorry your experience was bad but honestley I have been to a few evictions and it really depends on the crowd. You should not be put off, by one bad experience.

Couldn't agree more, I too really enjoyed the interview and thought Roberto came across well - clear and calm and with a good sense of humor. Divina was well ... Divina

I also think Roberto will do well on BBLB and will really get involved and not just go through the motions - or stand there like a shop dummy

I hope people don't get annoyed about me mentioning the US version, but over here after season 1 they removed the audience on the outside. I think it was because of the boos and they didn't want to put the hms thru it. Now it's a quiet interview with no hoopla at all.

I wondered why you had no audience.. when the H.Ms left.

America is litigous as I'm sure you know, so I'm sure they may have taken that into consideration. Some people will sue for anything over here. I mean come on..awarded 250k for being burnt by coffee from mcdonalds.

I think the problem was that robeto was giving quite long answers to the questions, and Davina had to hurry him along to get everything in. Perhaps because he was one of the more intelligent housemates in recent times.

I agree with you about the interview. Roberto was thoughtful and tried to make some interesting points but Davina didn't appear to want that. I thought his last comment, about how flat and boring it has become in the house, spoke volumes.

And yes, in previous years the house cook (Gos, Shell etc) has been rewarded by the others with thanks, and has not been nominated until near the end. I think they're going to be in serious trouble over the food now. Serves them right

It sounded like you were just upset because you didn't want Roberto evicted.

Davina can't conduct an interview like Michael Parkinson. She has about 15 minutes if that so it is necessary for her to hurry things along a bit, it's a light entertainment show not Question Time. I fully got the the point of what Roberto was saying and if she'd let him go on for longer or asked him other questions on the same subject, he'd have only said the same thing in 20 different ways.

Than you for this great post. Itis a shame that some people are so childish that they cannot bear to hear anothers point of view.
Roberto was my fav., and I think BB have lost one of the great hms of this series. People like Maxyscabwell who think it is funny to spinkle the scabs into peoples food, highlight how low some hms will sink.

That's appalling. We all heard him say -in a joking manner- "Shut up, this is my moment!". So unfair. I miss the best housemate already.
