I've watched since BB1 and those of us who have followed it year by year now have to accept that it's changed completely and adapt our thinking accordingly.

It's no longer about nice people trying to get along, it's about egotistical people who are prepared to do outrageous things in order to get noticed. It's no longer about winning even since Jade has been the most successful HM ever, it's about having something about you that can harness a career when you leave.

Roberto hasn't belonged there since BB2.
In BB3 he would have found it difficult to live alongside Spencer and Jonny without a doubt, and Kate would have been his Saskia figure of loathing while Sandy may have been a Derek substitute. The results would have been the same though, I don't think he was winner material at all because regardless of which year it is and how much it changes, the show is about entertainment and Roberto didn't entertain.

Good account...just an observation.....i'vew not read all the replies to the OP, but I guess with Max being on "home soil", he's bound to have a lot of supporters turn up

I wasn't aware that only people with the same point of view as the thread starter were allowed on the thread.

If you go to something and witness it first hand, you don't always have a point of view which hasn't been affected by emotion.

Thank you very much for posting your description of the eviction, Tinkerbella. It's always nteresting to hear how the things we see on TV happen in real life. I share your view that it's very sad that Roberto has gone, and I'm disappointed to hear that Max seems so popular. From the TV it sounded like he got quite a number of boos as well as cheers.

Thanks so much for reporting back. execellent report. Though he came across brilliantly in his interview and only wish we could have seen more of him in that mode in the house itself.

I think your mistake is believing that BB has anything to do with "thinking" or "fairness" or anything other than making a tv programme that sells advertising and telephone voting. Of course nobody is interested in what Roberto has to say. The interview is part of the show. He just has to be there, hopefully not monosyllabic and no swearing. And never forget Davina is the star.

Thanks for the replies! (I'm still half asleep though ... )

One thing I forgot to mention last night - I was told by a staff member that Roberto was doing an interview for 'the DVD' before his press conference. Maybe there will be a BB6 DVD this year?

Looking back at my opening post here, maybe I've given out the impression I'm a Roberto 'groupie' who was so pissed off with him leaving, it marred my judgement of the interview I witnessed and the whole evicition night experience. Not true.

Yes, Roberto was my favourite HM in there and I would loved to have seen him stay and do well. But he was booted out - worth a quick pout and strop , but I didn't spend the rest of the evening dwelling on it and sulking, thank you very much.

It wasn't the first eviction I'd been too, but it was the first time I'd been in the studio and as someone who has watched BB from the very first show, I was really excited just to be there - standing next to the producers, seeing the 'control centre' and really seeing how BB works during evicition night. I would recommend BB fans to go for the experience - it is worth it.

But of course, you see events differently being there as opposed to watching on TV. I've actually mainly defended Davina on this forum, but she did seem all over the place last night. But granted, she confessed to having a cold and she did have more on her plate than usual with the new HM's going in. I really wish she'd take the bloody earpiece out her ear during the interview and just listen to who she's interviewing. She seems to stumble because of being spoken to through the earpiece during the interview - so I do appreciate that she has her work cut out on this live show.

It was actually quite difficult to hear Roberto and Davina speak during the interview - the sound was very poor in the studio, but thankfully I was standing very close to them, so picked up on most of it. Maybe Roberto sounded waffley during his interview on TV, but I thought he spoke very well and made some very valid points during his interview. Davina did butt it, but I guess there is a schedule to keep.

I was annoyed to hear her tell the crowd afterwards that Roberto had sworn at a member of the studio audience - simply not true. There was one guy standing behind him who occasionally shouted out a couple of things, but Roberto took it all in his stride (having looked at the interview now on TV, you can see the **** who heckled standing behind Roberto while he's talking).

Again, I can only stress, the studio audience were encouraged to be positive towards the evicted HM. But I still felt some bias being there (off air) when comments are made towards the audience like 'Awwww, what do we think of Maxwell - isn't he funny!' Que lots of cheers (not from me! )

I didn't hate the experience - it was interesting and exciting. But watching the new HM's enter the house, I couldn't help but wonder where the hell BB is heading now.

And I'm sure not everyone at the eviction last night would have seen the experience the same way I did. We all pick up on different elements and have different ways of enjoying an event.

And I will stick with it for a while longer to see how the new HM's situation works out. Are they only in this secret room for 3 days? That's what I was told last night?

I'm gutted Roberto has left - I think he was wasted in the house this year. But I'm not silly enough to throw a sulk and stop watching simply because he's not there. But I haven't enjoyed this BB nearly as much as previous BB's, so I was struggling anyway.

Let's just see how it pans out ...

Thanks for your report, Tinkerbella. I really enjoyed reading it I too, was sad to see Roberto leave - and cannot understand why he's been replaced by another three wannabes

Talking of the crowd - can anyone remember which HM in which BB it was where the crowd was removed for their eviction? It's bugging me, I'm sure someone will know

Thanks again for your report Tinkerbella.

I remembered you were going and did wonder during the interview if you were one of those stood behind Roberto gasping audibly. And you say he's even more gorgeous in the flesh (sigh)...

Nice to read your thoughts - I too actually felt a bit sad seeing Roberto leave last night - probably because he had proved himself, in the house and at interview, that he was a gentleman who had morals that he stuck too throughout - he was a very gentle kind of guy - someone of the kind I'd FAR rather have in the house than a boring **** like Maxwell or two-faced underserving wannabe like Vanessa - such a shame.

We had someone decent for once, who was also entertaining....it was such a shame he and Derek were up at the same time, but I believe the public have warmed to Derek and don't want to see him go just yet.

I hope we see more of Roberto soon.....I will be voting Maxwell, Saskia and Vanessa out as soon as I get the opportunity. Surely, the only cheers Maxwell got on last night's show were from fellow cockney Londoner's who think he's a bit of an alright geeza - I am fairly convinced the rest of the country see him for the price **** that he actually is.

Thanks Tinkerbella, good read!.
Roberto was great in the house and will be missed by many.
Hopefully he'll make a bit of money on the outside doing something with his pasta cooking skills, who knows.

The most shocking thing for me about last night was the amount of support Max has, I'm thinking "surely there watching a different show to me".

Thanks tinks, really interesting read.
I'm also disappointed with his eviction.
We are now left with the morons, who think it's clever to sprinkle scabs on another h/m's food.

Not to mention the rest of their banality

Who are waiting their time out in the house, for the opportunity to be applauded & offered all sorts of lucrative deals.

Do we really admire people like this, is this the best society have to offer.
God help us if it is.

Thanks once more tinks.

The noisy studio audience did spoil the interview, plus Davina seemed content to let Roberto speak at too great a length on some points (notably the bit where she asked him to talk "briefly" about the other HMs and it took about 5 minutes to get to the 2nd one as the conversation veered off topic when the crowd involvement distracted Roberto).

It's just unfortuante that with BB being staged just north of London the crowd gets packed out with fans of the north London housemate, even though it was not going to be his special night.

No, I didn't 'gasp audibly'. My male cousin who I was with would probably have dis-owned me!

As I was watching (enthralled of course!) I was wondering whether you were in the studio Tinkerbella, supporting our guy! I'm so glad you were

So he looks even better in the flesh? That should be illegal!

Firstly, Roberto came across wonderfully ~ best BB interview I've ever seen. If you read the "Roberto's Eviction Interview" thread, there are a number of people posting for the first time about Roberto and realising only then what a nice guy he is.

Davina always comes across terribly imo and I'm not a bit surprised that she lied about what Roberto said to that studio heckler. Those of us watching on TV very clearly heard him say in his light hearted way "Shut up, this is my moment".

Thanks for telling us about it and sorry it wasn't more positive for you but this year's BB is so Jerry Springer

Missing him so badly I can't watch.

Thanks for a really interesting post Tinkerbella.

I agree totally about Roberto's interview - he came across really well, and despite Davina's inability to engage properly with him, it was easily the best interview for a long time in BB.

It is sad that Roberto had to go but I really think his personality was not being allowed to come across in the house, but he will do well on the outside.

I've just watched it myself!

Yes, I could see myself, but only because I knew where to look. And you could clearly see the tall **** behind Roberto who did most of the heckling.

Ahh, the memories have just flooded back - he was a lovely, beautiful guy. I'm off for a cold shower and a bit of sulk about the fact he's gone ...

I wasn't too sure about going after reading about last weeks evicition, but I enjoyed going to the Celeb BB earlier this year and my friend got us the tickets, so hey ...

It was packed out tonight (and very, very wet), but while we were waiting outside, we managed to blag a wristband, which takes you to the front of the queue and means you get to go into the studio for the interview with Davina.

But firstly, we stayed outside for the first show with everyone else. It was quite funny - you see lots of faces you recognise - crew, Davina's bodyguards and I spotted Derek's housekeeper and Roberto's family and friends. But I starting to get a sinking feeling that Roberto was not popular with this crowd. I seemed to be surrounded by a lot of Maxwell supporters and one girl told me how much she detested Roberto (I should point out, I wanted Roberto to stay in tonight).

Davina appeared (and yes, she really is far more tiny in the flesh) and asked the crowd who they wanted in or out tonight and I was really surprised at that point how much Roberto was booed. But I can honestly say, I didn't witness Davina encouraging booing at all. The warm up guy mentioned Sam's eviction and the water being thrown over her. He said whoever did it was arrested and charged by the police. To be fair, the security did seem good there tonight.

We watched the first show on a huge screen on the front of the house and the crowd start cheering or booing depending whose face is shown. Lots of cheering for Derek, lots of booing for Science. And yes, Maxwell does seem popular with the crowd ...

Once Davina announced Roberto was coming out (more boos), we were taken straight into the studio for the interview (thank God, it was pissing with rain!). It's so tiny and backs onto the 'control centre' you see on BBLB. I made a point of standing very close to Roberto's chair!

The 'warm-up' guy came on stage, announced banners were not allowed and to treat Roberto nicely when he came out. He explained that they hand-pick certain people out of the queue who they hope will be fine and not heckle. I'd say the majority of the studio audience were fine, but there was a couple of ***** that obviously got through the net.

There is a time difference with the second show, about 15 mins (Roberto came out about 9.45). I could see from the screens in the studio that he got some boos, but it was hard to tell how bad it was from in the studio.

When he arrived in the studio with Davina, he got cheers, no boos.

Now then, I only think it fair to the many female fans Roberto has here to share a quick description of Roberto in person. Yes, I admit I have grown to find him attractive in the house over the last couple of weeks. But in real life? Damn it - he's even better! I was surprised that he's really slender and his face seemed softer (ie. his nose didn't look as big! ) The consensus amongst the females in the audience (and my friends) did seem to be 'Blimey, I didn't realise he was that good looking!'

Anyhow - it was during Roberto's interview that I really starting to feel sad about it all. I listened to everything he said and was in total agreement with him (and I let him know!) That man had the HM's sussed. But I got the feeling some of the studio audience didn't really care what he had to say and I was really pissed off with Davina tonight too. I thought she performed poorly and didn't seem to pay much attention to what he was saying. I felt sorry for him when she showed who nominated him and he couldn't hear it. But he took everything in his stride and was so polite about everything. I think he spoke a lot of home truths about the show and Davina didn't really want to dwell on what he thought.

When he was speaking about the other HM's, Maxwell got lots of cheers but so did Derek. It seemed 50/50 with Saskia.

When the interview finished, Roberto signed some autographs - he did seem really happy to be out - then he was whisked off to do an interview.

We were then told to go back outside to see the new HM's going in. Davina was back on the stage and told the crowd outside (and this really pissed me off) that Roberto had told someone in the studio audience to '**** Off'. He didn't - he'd jokingly told one heckler to 'Shut Up'. I couldn't believe she'd said this.

Anyway, I can't even remember what the names of the new HM's are, but they got huge boos going in. There seemed to be a lot of 'WTF is going on??' type conversations in the crowd.

I think it was at this point, I finally realised I was finished with BB for this year. I'd just seen one of the best ever HM's come out of the house to boos, stood by and watched him give one of the best interviews ever - and it felt that no-one there really cared about what he had to say anyway. A worthy HM was out - the next bunch of young wannabes were sent in.

I really couldn't care less who wins the show now - I guess maybe Derek, but I'm not really bothered.

And I doubt very much I'd bother going to another evicition (not this series, anyway). It's hard to explain, but I really felt the 'bias' being there tonight. Booing and jeering is not encouraged, but certain little comments do seem to show a preference to certain HM's.

I saw Roberto again as he disappeared off to his press conference and was then glad to leave.

I'm glad I was there to see Roberto leave, but I feel sad about it all now. And I can't help feeling disappointed in BB.

Thanks for reading this, hope it wasn't too long and waffly. Really got to get to bed now.”

Thanks, so did you enjoy it overall.
