David Tennant dropping hints

He was on BBC Three at Glastonbury (looking like Stig of the Dump to be honest ) and Edith Bowman asked him why he is not speaking with a Scottish accent? Was he not allowed?

He replied, "Ah, there's a little bit more to it than that. In the Christmas episode, there is a story behind that"

What on Gallifrey can he mean?

Interesting

He did say that he wouldn't hide his accent, like he had to in Cassanova. We'll just have to wait and see.

I saw the interview on Glastonbury too... if he does have a Scottish accent in the new series, I hope its clearer than the one he used in the interview.... no disrepect, but I had to really listen carefully...

There's a rumour going around that during the next series, The Doctor's accent changes, which is explained in the story*. I don't know if this is true, nor where it originates - but David's comments on BBC3 could well fit this scenario, IMHO!

I haven't seen the interview in question, but he had a Scottish accent in Quatermass and I had no problem understanding him at all. Which is pretty good considering it was broadcast live and therefore no chance to re-dub anything! So hopefully it'll be ok.

Good grief!
