Rachel Stevens, talented-less?
I think she total is a waste of space, she hardly does anything original and seeing her performance on CD UK yesterday reminded me of a Kylie M. dance routine, she was even trying to sound like her too!
Anybody else agree? |

She is just awful I would have a little bit of respect for her even if she sang over a backing track just once but she really is pointless she doesn't have a personality either.

I cannot deny it but any blonde singer could have released it - or brunette come to that!

Often when going solo they don't make the grade. But in this case I think she made it.

![]() So it's another Rachel Stevens is crap thread. I even started one myself once, but then realised that everyone does it. And the reason everyone does it? Because it's quite obviously true. |

Wot?
I can't believe it. This thread has been open for more than 30 hours and ShowbizGosQueen has not yet posted about Rachel being a Gingerbreadman. She must be ill or dead or something.

Haven't seen her 'perform' the song live (pffffht!) but the video is a complete Kylie rip off. There is nothing original about her at all. As for her 'singing live' in Glasgow, I would pay money to hear this - just so I could have a right laugh - I can imagine it was appalling And no, I didn't like 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex'. I like Cathy Dennis stuff but I thought that song was crap. Oh, and Ms Stevens is a gingerbread woman!

She's got much better hair than Kylie though.
Kylie Minogue, never, ever, ever had a good haircut in her entire career. |

Obviously not for you today or any day recently - but if you want to use a word which doesn't exist then knock yourself out. Far be it from me to be judgementalisticist.

She never sings live, she never tours, she doesn't dance well, she has gimmicks like silly pink streamers and silly pink gloves.

I think the fact she keeps whipping her baps out for FHM and Loaded has something to do with her contiuning appeal.
I heard from a friend who works in the industry that the record company hardly makes any money out of her. |

Not very talented at all, but fair play to her for being able to be a success relying on just her looks.

Ah, it's the 3 monthly "Rachel Stevens is talentless" thread, I see.
Yes, she doesn't sing live, yes, it would be nice if she did. She's pop, some of her tunes are good, but yes, that's mainly down to other peoples talents. She's a nice bit of eye candy that's great to see on my TV screen. Yes, she mimes, but there's always gonna be pop stars who mime, and they're never gonna go away, get over it. |

I don't have a problem with her. Maybe it's because I used to have a massive crush on her when I was a kid - I think I'll always have a little soft spot for her
lol.But honestly I think she's done OK for herself. It would have been so much more likely she would have flopped - big time. But she's somehow came through and she's now a staple of the British pop market - whatever you may think of it (or her). Sure, there isn't anything outstanding about her vocals - or the majority of her material - but there is something about HER as an artist that people are obviously connecting with or she would have been kicked to the curb by her label long ago. |

What exactly are you trying to say when you write "talented-less" ?
