Can I get RGB through both?
Hi, wonder if anyone can help me out on this. I want to be able to watch both Sky and DVD via RGB but TV only has one RGB scart connection AV1. I have the following :
Sony TV > Digibox Sony VCR > Digibox Sony DVD > AV2 Grundig Digibox > AV1 At present I have the Sky only as RGB (as I watch it more) and the DVD player is using AV2 (not RGB). Is there a way to get them both going through AV1 without getting a scart splitter? I also want to be able to record Sky if possible? Cheers. |

Leave your connection as now but use the Svideo setting on AV2 and use Svideo out of your Sony.
If the Sony has the capability to send Svideo down its scart lead you just need to set this and use AV2S on your TV to pick it up. Alternately, you may need a small physical converter block to change the svideo signal passed through the 4-pin din cable into a scart block. Rgds, Scorp |

Scorp,
Cheers I will check this out when tonight if I can. Not sure the TV has this as it quite an old Sony widescreen model (1998?) so if not is there any other way? Noddy. |

Prob not without a scart switch box. you cannot daisy chain in the DVD as macrovision will prevent the feed into and through the VCR.
Have a go at the Svideo thing, I use this for my DVD player and the picture is great on my Panny. Rgds, Scorp |

As always, I'll recommend the JoyTech AV Control Centre, which you can get from places such as Play.com & GamePlay.co.uk. You can plug all yours devices to the switcher then on to the TV via RGB. You'd connect the Sky Digibox to the VCR directly.
