Hi,

I know I could ring 3 CS to get this information, but I though that I would be more likely to get a real answer here!

Do 3 charge to unlock the phones from their network, and if they do how much is it? I tried at one of the unlocking places in town, but they couldn't do it .

Also, I remember reading on here that there are two things to unlock, one for the network and one for the phone so that it doesn't always try to connect to the 3g networks when they are available. Was that right?

Looking forward to binning 3 and moving to easymobile

3 will charge you £115, just wait for someone to post the software and unlock it your self for free

£115! Even when it is out of contract? That is shocking!

Looks like I'll have to try a few other unlocking shops!

Hi,

I tried that with one of the codes, and it came back with the message "Cannot undo restriction"

One thing I am worried about is the maximum number of code attempts. What happens if I go over that (I'm not sure how many times the shop tried as well).

Thanks

AFAIK an error saying "Cannot Undo Restriction" means that the code attempts have all been used, "Code Error" is displayed if a code is incorrect.

Correct me if I am wrong of course

Hope this helps

Is your Nokia 7600 locked to your network? And you want to use to any other network globally? If yes, then you need to unlock your mobile according to the network you reside , Its a paid service. first find out your mobile phone IMEI number. You can find this by typing in *#06# and then hitting the enter o rsend key on your phone . This number is completely unique to your phone and will be used to generate or calculate an unlock code for your mobile. Then the unlock code here http://www.unlock-free.com/nokia/nokia-7600.html using unlock code specified in it you can proceed unlocking your mobile.

This must be a thread revival record!

Hosana, you don't think the OP would have sorted the unlock in the NINE YEARS since they posted for info?

Surely the Nokia 7600 is now in a retirement home?

Or even binned 7 or 8 years ago?

Hosana doesn't seem to think so.

His/her second post since joining 4 YEARS AGO was reviving a 9 year old thread, quite interesting. Was going to say spam alert until I saw their join date.

Very strange
