Ive just seen the advert for the new Big Brother on CH4. At the end it says "New house, new rules"

NEW RULES?

Does anything know anything about this?

Its refering to the '3 srikes and your out' rule.

Obviously C4 are expecting this rule to be used at least once or maybe twice - Hence the 12 housemates maybe.?

Thinking of that though I wonder what would happen if . . . say this rule was in last year and either Brian or Helen got the '3 strikes' and they had to be evicted would Big Brother do it? If a really popular contestent got the 3 strikes would they go trough with it - or come up with some sort of loophole (eg taking the nomination vote off them (ala BB AUSTRAILIA). I don't think they would evict the veiwing figures puller - Do you?

They probably wouldn't - just pretend it never happened and won't show it on the main show. It's likely that they will do it to other contestants though, just to show that they've made changes.

But remember last year when we had promises of the show being "tougher" and "expect the unexpected"? It wasn't really much tougher, and the only real surprises were Josh's arrival and the surprise eviction on the last week.

I heard that the BB producers decided to introduce tougher rules after calls by viewers and fans for them to do so.

Did they? I thought many people were perfectly happy with how the rules were enforced last year, and you surely can't make it too strict, or you'll virtually turn the place into a internment camp.

I think the New rules are to stop them giving pathetic reasons for nominations.

Yeah. If Dean and Elizabeth had been chucked out then maybe we could da seen Helen and Paul get it on in BB2.

Can't wait for the new series though. 5 whole days to go,

I would love if the series was actually a lot tougher this year.
