Joss Stone just gave a great interview on JR tonight and is about to sing with james Brown. She has already stole the Show at the Grammys, Won Brits, Performed twice in one Brit show and is going to be one of the main attractions of Live8. She is going to dominate the world. She is huge in the US and has such a great voice she will go so far.

She will be dominating the entire world this time next year and Totally deserves it since she is great!

I have to agree with you.

She came across as such a nice lass and complely relaxed.

I bought her album when it came out, listened to it a few times, wasnt sure if i liked it it but put it in yesterday and am hooked again

Joss is absolutely amazing and deserves all the success she is getting. Both albums are fantastic and pretty close to world domination at the moment i think.

Its amazing how many people like her just because they fancy her. She reminds me of Dawn out of Emmerdale, only slightly uglier.

I hope the pop princess enjoys her 12 months but as for world domination goes I can't imagine she'll leave a lasting legacy. In 5 years time few will remember her.

She's hardly talented; all she does is whine over tuneless songs. Common sense would say she wouldn't last long, but with the ludicrous amount of terrible songs in the chart she might last a bit longer.

Have you considered having your ear wax cleaned out?

I think she may be guilty of not have the soul that goes with the songs she sings - but she's 18, real soul comes with years of pain, sorrow, love and tears.

It will come to her in years to come. But to say that she's not talented is a pretty baseless insult and a cheap shot.

Well Aretha Franklin has commented on how good Joss Stones voice is and how good she sings soul.
What better recommendation can she get than that?

I have been rather cynical towards Stone in the past but she is best when she does uptempo tracks as proved by her performances on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and yesterdays performance on Live 8.

I agree with you, and for that fact Aretha too! Joss Stone is an amazing singer, and I really can't understand what Anthony was on about.

Don't get me wrong in what in said, I think she's excellent and I played both her albums to death in the car - but if I had to find one fault (especially with her live performances) is that she's too flawless!

She sings perfectly to the letter - and if you listen to the great soul singers, Aretha, Dionne, Luther (god bless him), Ray (and him) and the like, they deliver what they are singing with oodles of emotion that can only be gained by having your heart broken into a million little pieces.

Joss has the potential to be in that list of names, and with time I actually think she will be. Trouble is, she's got to cry many rivers first!

Simply awful wailing, sings every song exactly the same in this fake voice and she was crap yesterday, defintely one of the worst.

I think she is a wonderful singer, really talented.
I love both of her albums & don't stop listening to the latest one.
But i do think her voice can be really annoying when she does that " OOoo OoO oOOO, OoO oO Oooo" in the whiney voice, in basically every song.
I think she sounds excellent until she starts with all that!

I didn't think she was good singing with James Brown on Jonathon Ross. But i thought she was one of the best performers, if not, the best performer on Live8!
All in my opinion of course

Her attitude is also fake. Did you see her on the Band Aid 20 documentary? She pretended to care about the cause, but she knew nothing about the original Band Aid, even though it's played every Christmas, and knew nothing about Live Aid, which is mentioned all the time, and she was allowed to perform at Live 8!

With apologies to Anthony and a few other posters, I couldn't disagree more.
She has an amazing voice and feel for the songs she sings and certainly was a highlight for me at Live8.
I have been a fan for two years regularly listen to both albums and i feel she's improving.
To criticize her for her age is unfair - she can't help that - and she's got the time to take in more 'soul'.

She wasn't even born when Live Aid happened - give her a break! I think you're just being nasty for the sake of it now - her knowledge of world issues is not what you had a problem with before.

I have to agree. I find her quite annoying, well her voice anyway. I can appreciate that she is somewhat talented to a certain extent, but she really isn't as good as everyone tends to make out. She can whine endlessly over songs....so what. Her songs all sound the same and I think she has a lot to learn.

Yes. I remember her saying in an interview that she didn't even know who Bob Geldof was, in fact, she'd never even heard of him. She was saying something like "this guy Bob Gelding...Golding called me and asked me to take part" The interviewer had to clarify that it actually WAS Bob that asked her to take part. It was pretty embarrasing.

Yes - so do I.

But there's a slim chance she reads these boards, and from past experience if you really want to stand out from the crowd and get to know an interesting woman, a disparaging (and obviously ludicrous) remark sometimes breaks the ice.

I'm not one for bragging, but this approach is responsible for more than one notch on the old bed post (with a couple pending - eh Joss?!).

PS: Yes, I am over twice her age, but hey, I can still touch my toes - see them no, touch them yes!

I think you need to elaborate here. You're saying girls like it when you tell them they're fat?
