I quite like the first two singles but I wouldn't rave about them.

Give them a chance, they are better than most other new groups.

Molly is lovely. She is the daughter of Midge Ure of Live/Band Aid and the lead singer of Ultravox.

You know, that is the difference between some bands. A band such as The Subways get to number 25 with their first (major release) single, and then get to number 22 with their second. That is seen as a pretty damn good success. They are in it for the long term.

However, a band like The Faders, who I expect were picked up because they could get a load of publicity for a few months (at most) and then disappear off the face of the earth, get a number 13 single followed by a number 21 single and they are seen as failures.

This is all to do with the target audience of the band. If a band like the faders is aimed mainly at teens, who generally only listen to music in the top half of the charts (not all teens before people start complaining) a song going into the wrong end of the top 40 is a failure.

If a band has a more credible target audience who don't really care about chart position it doesn't matter where they chart, if they chart at all. And yes I know some bands who are credible chart, but if most of them dropped out the chart they probably wouldn't be dropped by the record label (unless thay had been really big in the past)
