watched a bit of it last night on BBC3 - it might not have had a sbig names, but there just seemed to be a much better atmosphere, and there seemed to be more emphasis on getting the message across.

thnking about it, i wonder if part of that message should involve showing how things are changing in Africa itself, to highlight that any steps taken by the west aren't (hopefully) a waste of time.

really enjoyed the one giant leap mob, and good to see neneh cherry - although that guitar at the end was very U2 - Zooropa-ish.

The Edinburgh gig was a much better atmosphere - even the acts were saying that during their interviews with Edith. I am disappointed that we only got highlights though and thought it deserved to go out live nationwide just as much as the London gig did.

The acts got a much better reaction from the crowd, the Proclaimers got everyone going right from the start and acts like Feeder had everyone bouncing along too. I think the Gold Circle really spoiled the atmosphere in Hyde Park.

I'm not really paranoid , but why is it that Will's microphone is often useless? I couldn't hear him when he sang with One Giant Leap and James Brown kept on pulling him towards his own mike because of the trouble with Will's.

It has happened before with the BBC outside broadcasts - VE Day (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy), Olympic Torch concert. I could go on.

hello. i was trying to listen to some of the scotland highlights on bbc. but it says that users from outside of the uk are not allowed to access video and audio. could anyone get me a copy of neneh cherry's performance with 1giant leap and youssou n'dour? vhs or just audio. all would be appreciated. i m pretty sure scotland won t make it on the official dvd release, they are not even mentioned on the aol webpages. thank you. please get in touch if you have recorded the show.
