Next Big Thing?
![]() Something else has been on the video jukebox at my local more often than The Killers or Kasabian. I would say they are pretty big already. |

Yeah, I think they're already past their peak.
Vice is a good song, and Stumble & Fall is ok, but the rest of their stuff does nothing for me. |

Plenty of bands passed their peak at one album.
I'm fairly indifferent. If that is them past their peak with that album, I can't imagine them being an especially big thing tbh. |

Oh yeah, I agree with that. Decent first album but they'll have to go some to be considered a great band.

I bought the album last year, and quite liked it - Golden Touch, Up All Night and Vice especially - but I listened to it quite a bit in the last month, and I'm really loving every track now. They were great at Glastonbury too - I downloaded their set from Dime a Dozen.

I'm liking the Razorlight album, to be honest. It's nothing special, but at the moment there's enough on it to sing along to.

how can anyone possibly say any band is 'passed their peak' after their first album, when they haven't even released their second album yet?
![]() its 'my bands better than your band music snobbery mentality' gone mad! Iain |

Their album is kinda hit and miss, sometimes Johnny goes a bit angry. Such as "To The Sea", which turns into him shouting "TO THE SEA!" lots. 'Somewhere Else' is my favourite of theirs though, so much so that I bought a single for the first time in years. Wasn't gonna rebuy the album, thats for sure.

Saw them live in Glasgow a few months back.
They were OK, nothing special. Personally, I'd be surprised if they're still around in 3-5 years time ..... |

I wouldn't say their next album is definitely going to be crap... I'll have to wait until I hear it.
What I meant was in terms of publicity and hype, they'll probably never be "bigger" than they have been in the past 12 months. But to be honest, I said the same thing about Coldplay after they released Parachutes.

I think Up All Night is an excellent debut, from a promising band. The last I heard, there's a new album on the way in October. So not too long to wait.
