DVD Rock Concert Recommendations
AxeGrinder
09-07-2005
I like buying DVDs of live performances of my favourite rock bands/artists. I wish more bands would release them. I currently have and would recommend:

Led Zeppelin - 2 disc set from 2003
David Gilmour In Concert
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant - No Quarter
Alice In Chains - Unplugged
Metallica - Cunning Stunts
Evanescence - Anywhere but home
The Music - Live at the black canvas

I would like to see live DVD releases by:

Audioslave
Foo Fighters
Queens of the Stone Age

and isn't it about time Nirvana MTV unplugged was released?

Any other good DVD concerts out there you can recommend?

Not exactly hard rock, but Snow Patrol at Somerset House on DVD is fantastic - great camera work, and well-mastered sound in 5.1. They put in an amazing performance too.

I'd love to see The Killers release a live DVD though

The Eagles - Hell Freezes Over is an excellent demo DVD let alone a superb concert program.

QOTSA are releasing a live DVD soon, which I'm sure will be great. I'll go as far as to recommend it now, without yet having seen it!.
