Big Brother 3 - What a Joke

I tuned in to watch the new contestants being revealed and to watch them going into the house. All I can say is, OMG.

One guy is a bodybuilder who loves himself, and is dying for a modelling contract.

One woman sang on her application video, and I'm sure she'll be singing during the show so she will get a recording contract.

Another woman is big and loudmouthed, and we know she wants to get into comedy.

One is a scottish contract who says he loves to wear womens clothes, I don't think I have to comment on that, we all know what he's trying to do.

When I watched BB 1+ 2 I instantly took likings to some of the contestants straight away, but there is nothing to like about any of these new contestants. There all idiots after their 15 seconds, and they spent them ages ago.

What a turn off. I certaintly won't be watching this series

(Good point, the BB interactive game on Sky Active is good, if you just play the free demo all the time!)

Do you not think it would be fair to give them a little longer than 24 hours before you sentence them?

I'm not impressed either but i'm willing to give it a chance.

I think the contestants this time around may be a guilty of overacting to gain popularity.

I think what is happening is people are comparing the whole of last series to 1/64th of this series - the same is happening on the c4 forums. Plus the Channel 4 website being crap'n'all.

Does anyone else think it was a mistake to put the 'LIVE' programming on Channel4 - Many people i have spoken too seem to think it will be Live stuff on every night - when it will be the day highights show - (pity there stupid minds )

Ive changed my opinion on Jade - I thought she was a tit at forst - now I don't really mind her - don't know why just got used to her I suppose. I think johnny is cool and that Big girl (sorry her name escapes me) is quite funny.

Tuned in tonight (Sat) on CH4 at 11pm... Was my TV faulty..... [NO SOUND] As i Started fiddling.. Then a banner on the screen came up saying 'NO sound for legal reasons'.....

A little later they sensored again by 'outside noise' and a shot of the dust bins for about 4 minutes. Then it was to the Scotsman reading in bed... (no / little sound)

All the other house mates were still up... Footage from them would have been much more interesting.

Starting to get pŁ$Łed off with series 3 already.. Dead air is not entertaining.... What is there to sensor??... The really bad C word gets said in a lot of Channel 4's films. Im sure these rules should be relaxed at 11pm at night.

Im glad I have not forked out for the streaming feeds on the net. If this censorship is taking place.

Anyway... I turned off and watched Kylie on BBC1.. Sort it out Channel 4....

I am guessing the legal reasons is due to either advertising or to prevent anyone being sued for slander (or libel, whichever is verbal: I think it's slander). Obvously they don't want to any of their contestants facing legal action, and they don't want to be in trouble from the ITC for giving out free advertising.

It was mentioned last year when Josh would not shut up about his letting agency for example. They had to censor a lot of it because he kept mentioning it by name. I guess that they didn't want Alex in trouble for mentioning his agency, so they censored that out last night.

Aside from that there are certain decency laws that they have to abide by, so there can't be too much swearing.

This lot have watched 2 BBs & have probably read people's comments, criticisms etc. so it's much harder for them. I think they are actually more entertaining earlier than before- if u c what I mean! Their Jerry Springer show was hilarious - much funnier than the real thing & their song game today was most amusing.
It isn't compulsory to watch it!

The main problem is that people are recalling the highlight shows of the last two years and comparing them directly with the live feeds from this year (which is all we can do to be honest given that there has only been one recap show so far).

Personally, i think that this year's bunch of contestants are a hundred times more interesting than the last two years.

Alex, PJ and Jonny seem like legit really nice blokes, especially Alex, who i thought was going to be nothing more than eye candy.

Lee i thought initially was going to be a typical Leicester rugby-playing ******, but he's intelligent and amicable, and not at all egotistical.

Sandy was obviously primed to be the 'wacky' one of the lads, but seems very grounded and patient, and is one of my favourites.

Spencer however seems too introverted. He's just a bit boring at the moment. Think it'll bite him on the ass soon.

As for the girls? Well Kate is my number one babe by far - not only is she supremely gorgeous, but her combination of kind, funny and chilled-out personality and her mad football skillz put her top of my list by far.

Adele, Alison and Sunita are all really nice people and seem to be gelling well in the house, and although Lynne is a bit old for me and also a bit Scottish she's not offending me at all.

Even Jade, who i despised more than anyone until this morning, is less annoying today. She's a typical braindead Essex bimbo, but she won't be around for long, so let her go at it.
