Well if anyone's seen the NotW website (or paper) today you'll have seen the nonsense they had about Jade's mother in it. Not to mention the other rumours they and The Sun keep bringing out. I agree that they should leave celebs alone, but there's times when they won't. If he's done it, and admitted it, there's not a lot he can do to stop it getting published unless he takes out a court order, which would cause more fuss than the article probably. Witness Tom Cruise, Jason Donovan and others suing papers/ magazines for suggesting they were gay.

Also, let's not forget the number of outings done through the tabloids. Or the one's where they get the 'Exclusive' on somebody coming out (Will Young, Stephen Gately) due to 'media pressure'. Aye right, the paper calls them, offers them money for an exclusive and says they'll reveal either way, so what can they do without getting outed? not a lot really. bloody tabloids.

As far as I'm concerned any tabloid shouldn't be calling what it reports 'news' but they do. Until people stop buying them they'll continue to print them. Me? Give me The Independent , The Guardian or The Scotsman and I'm happy.

I have enough minor celebs in my family to know the NoW and the People are bad news. They don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. The trouble is, when the celebs know about the lies they print, it can often harm them more to challenge the offending tabloid as the lies will be brought up in court. Although they may be disproved, mud sticks in the minds of the public.

isnt it possible that Big Brother are actually paying the mirror to diss the show - kinda like people would think... hmmm it cant be as bad as that, and then tune in to find out?

What puzzles me about the Mirror is the lengths they are going to to denounce Big Brother 3. Have you ever heard of the phrase "I think the lady doth protest too much..."?!

I do read The Mirror, and find it more interesting than The Sun, but even so..

I don't see the point in this anti stuff. Those who like Big Brother will want to read positive articles, those who don't like it won't bother reading the articles. I agree that BB isn't really news, and if The Mirror just completely ignored it, I wouldn't mind.. I can read DS / Watch the show to find the news... I don't see there is anything to gain by negative campaigns.

I'll also take you back to after the Lee Bowyer trial. Thr front page was a disgrace. It said something like Here is a picture of a lying, drug-taking, racist, ugly tw*t(and now try and sue us you scumbag) Excuse me, but wasn't he innocent? Calling him racist is libelous, and Bowyer should have sued their arse back to the stoneage.That was when i lost patience with the Paper. I read it for about 10 years and watch it go downhill. The Sun has much better journalism.

I picked it up today and looked at their 'anti-big brother' section. The idiot who wrote it said 'There isn't a brain cell between them'. Haven't two of them been to university.

Another thing . . they also slagged off Big Brother series One + Two in there silly 'Anti' compain this year. . . so did they lie to us the past two years by reporting they liked it?

The whole thing is totally pointless and they WILL lose alot of readers . . and to be honest i hope they do.

It was quite amusing what the were saying about the contestants in yesterday's paper, just slagging them off in the same way we do on here. I did like "murder is a horrible crime but we can make an exception for Jade".
I don't see how the likes of the Sun can actully have anything to write about without repeating day old news from websites like this - and totally pointless "exclusive" interviews with friends of contestants. At least the Daily Mirror has something to say about it by being critical.

The Mirror is rubbish compared to The Sun, How can they slate BB1 and BB2 when last year they had loads of BB2 stories and had a campaign to keep Paul in the house, then another 1 for Brian to win.

This whole thing with the Mirror becoming the self-proclaimed anti-BB paper really makes me laugh. I neither like The Sun nor The Mirror, but they're both reporting exactly the same thing and either supporting it or slagging it off. I'm half expecting The Sun - "Housemate x got her kit off - brilliant" and The Mirror - "Housemate x got her kit off - disgraceful".

The Mirror are just as interested in BB as the rest of the red tops, they're just being contrary for the sake of it whilst still being able to report all the BB news to the people who want to read it. Laughable.
