Anyone else can't stand Eminem anymore?
All his singles from his new album have been crap, he's humour is not very good (never was) and he just looks smug (never a good look).
Is he past it i.e has he peak come and gone? |

as soon as he realised he could just make an album of absolute shite and it would sell millions, thats when he stopped trying.

Is he past it i.e has he peak come and gone? I like his sense of humour - it's not bad for a Yank. If he wants to look smug that's fine by me - he's earned the right. Some poor s*ds just do though (eg: Jimmy Carr), so perhaps he can't help it. But I agree his music sounds a little past it's sell by date now - the innovation seems to have gone. But the videos are funny, and I believe his stage shows are something else. In this day and age your have to judge pop artists by the whole 'package', not just whether or not they can hold a note. So not the greatest, but better than The Streets by a mile! ![]() PS: I've just noticed Georges post above - it's true that many of the big names will capitalise on a recent success by releasing and album full of sh*te - I think most people understand that's what Oasis did with 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'.

![]() Valid point, because his early stuff (including before his breakthrough) is f**king brillian, and I don't even like rap. |

The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP rock my willy to the core. The Eminem Show and Encore sucked sadly

I agree with the OP. Used to enjoy his stuff - now? Nothing to get excited about, in my opinion.

He's been crap since he became a father. We now have to listen to his bed time talks to his bloody kid instead of cutting edge tirades.
A sad waste of a great talent, but he's apparently a good parent which is probably more important. |

I really don't like what Eminem stands for. Now, I get abuse for not liking Eminem from a lot of people, so if you wanna give me an ear-bashing, go ahead! I'm pretty much use to it! But I'm not gonna apologise or correct myself of what I have just said because it's true. |

Your entitled to your opinion, not gonna abuse you. However, the brainwashing children thing is a nonsense story, normally fabricated by parents.

Firstly, Eminem is a homophobic ****. Someone who has that much sway over kids should be more responsible. I wonder how many people have been queerbashed by thick Eminem fans.
Secondly he thinks he's hard by picking on the 40 year old tiny vegan that is Moby. Ooooo hard man, pick on someone your own size. and thirdly you aint black mate, so stop trying to be (Westwood, I am looking at you too!) A total w*anker. |

Ahhh, I see the problem. You lot actually listen to him and all that surrounds him.
I just lsitened to his music, and stuff like Stand and even recently, Like Toy Soldiers, is brilliant. And like I said, i'm not a fan. |

Because sweeping various cases of different situations together doesn't work on any level, not just here. Case by case basis tbh.
