i've ntl broadband running at 128k... when i load realone player, and play the feed from the net it only goes at 67k (i think)... is there any way i can get this quicker? short of getting a quicker connection?

cheers peeps!

my feed runs at 150kbps... which is too fast for your connection

Im pretty sure the 67k feed you are getting is limited to what the website server is giving you rather than your connection speed.

So getting a faster connection wouldn't help...

EDIT: Is there a choice of connection speeds then or does RealOne choose it for you?

when i first load up realplayer, the speed is at around 118k, but then when it starts streaming it goes down to 67k a few seconds later.... if u've got 512k, is not a quicker speed available than 150k?

You can choose the connection speed anything from 28.8k per second modem to 10Mb per second corporate LAN.

Clearly these settings are what Real One use to choose what quality video you can see.

Plus theres the Lo and Hi button on the home page.

No, 150 is the maximum

150k is fastest speed!! wow! thats pants! well its better than mine, lol......with the high res my picture is kinda jumpy, but u can follow the plot (so to speak).. and the sound is perfect! with the lo res, the picture is smooth moving but blurry and the sound, sounds all muffeled

i've tried the settings in realplayer - but it doesn't make the slightest difference to the speed!
