the Big Brother house, in which 12 contestants are competing to win £70,000, is to be split into luxury and poor areas, producers have told a newspaper.
Contestants in Big Brother 3, which started on Friday, will be able to earn a place in the luxury section by doing well in a task, the paper said.
Jade has provoked a strong response
Plastic bars will come down to split the house in two, with those in the rich part given £400 housekeeping money and access to better living conditions, reported The Sun.
But producers said they had not decided when to bring the trick into play.
"We're holding it back to use when the time is right," a spokeswoman for the Channel 4 series said, according to the newspaper.
The losers would have to live on basic provisions and use an outside toilet.
This year's 12 contestants were watched by an average of 5.8 million people as they went into the house live on Channel 4.

But Big Brother was beaten in the ratings by Angus Deayton's first appearance on Have I Got News For You since being exposed in a sex and drugs scandal.
Kate, a 22-year-old IT desk administrator from Kent, is the early favourite to win.
Bookmakers have given her odds of 4/1 to walk away with the £70,000 prize in 10 weeks' time, followed by Alex, a 23-year-old model from Essex, at 9/2.
London dental nurse Jade, 20, is at the bottom of the list - with odds of 33/1 to emerge victorious.
The first shock for the housemates is expected to come on Friday when they find out that they have to evict the first person.
Spencer was popular in the first few days
They believe that all 12 will be in the house for the first two weeks - but producers have not told them that one of them will go after one week.
In a reversal of the usual eviction process, viewers have been voting for who they think should be nominated.
Two names will then go forward for the housemates to vote on.
Rumours of other plans to spice up this series include introducing couples or celebrities into the house.
Producers have also promised tougher rules and new challenges.
No books or musical instruments will be allowed in the house, in a bid to produce more interaction between housemates.
Pool
There will also be no World Cup coverage inside the house.
The new Big Brother house is at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire, and boasts more double beds and a swimming pool, instead of the hot tub which featured in the previous series.
The show, which has been a huge ratings success in the past, puts the housemates under constant camera surveillance and they are not allowed to leave the house.
The last person left in the house will win the prize money on offer, and of course will find their face in many national newspapers.
